The two-day rail strike cost the State Railway of Thailand about 30 million baht in lost revenue, SRT governor Yuthana Thapcharoen said.
Mr Yuthana said the SRT had to refund passengers 18 million baht for worthless tickets and the halting of freight trains caused a loss of 12 million baht in revenue.
The SRT governor said the delay in the implementation of the restructuring plan because of the rail strike until a review of it had been completed will obstruct the progress of several projects, particularly the Airport Link, which was scheduled to begin a trial run from Dec 5.
