    ^^ Great.

Then we saw in the last month a rise in overt wannabee jihadism,...several young girls, a family with kids and the son of a Muslimcity councillor,(look at his @I'm so famous grin in his arrest pic............ no one knew nothing, oh shock and horror etc.

Then an other bunch at dover, about a weekly - 10 day cycle,....must be the moon...

Quite the well-read bunch . . . but I am surprised at ENT's vehemence in this debate

Then there's the other lot fighting to get in and escape the shit they left.

So who's treating the mainly Muslim/Afrcans etc to make 'em look forasaylum?
Why're they going to Europe for respite?

    Teir own kind.

    Simple.
They can all get a blond angel and go on the dole for life, for five camels.

Where is the Moderate Muslim outrage?
Not a puff piece for the paper, but the protests in the streets, the boycotts or lockouts of mosques that preach hate? The nameing and shaming of radical Imams by moderate Muslims?
There is some outrage by Muslim moderates but not as much as most non Muslims would like .

UK imams condemn Isis in online video - BBC News
No such thing as moderate Muslims because there is no such thing as moderate Islam. The koran is a sick violent handbook of hate and the prophet was a murdering peodophile, nothing moderate about either. You either believe in this evil or you don't, no half measures.

I have read both the koran and the bible.

I do think that the koran takes a stronger line against women than the bible.

Maybe because it was written at a different point in the human cultural evolution timeline.

One example I remember was the difference in the fate of the woman with whom Joseph (not mary's husband the other joseph with the coat) has an affair (his boss's wife) but it was a few years ago I read them so I will have to brush up before I can expand on the example.

^ Is the Bible more of an equal opportunity text when it comes to killing?

    Deuteronomy 13:6-9
If your brother, your mother’s son, or your son or daughter, or the wife you cherish, or your friend who is as your own soul, entice you secretly, saying, ‘Let us go and serve other gods’ (whom neither you nor your fathers have known, 7 of the gods of the peoples who are around you, near you or far from you, from one end of the earth to the other end), 8 you shall not yield to him or listen to him; and your eye shall not pity him, nor shall you spare or conceal him. 9 But you shall surely kill him; your hand shall be first against him to put him to death, and afterwards the hand of all the people.

    Hosea 13:16
The people of Samaria must bear their guilt, because they have rebelled against their God. They will fall by the sword; their little ones will be dashed to the ground, their pregnant women ripped open.”

^^Not sure what your quotes are trying to establish Neverna?

The bible and the koran both contain very many rulings on justification for killing so these are only 2 examples.

The difference is, that the atrocious content of the O.T. was 'reformed' through the teachings of Jesus, i.e. the new contract.

The stuff in the Koran stands - fortunately most Muslims know better than to take it literally.

I agree that the trilogy of the Torah, Bible and Koran represent human reinterpretations of previously written 'books of human wisdom' but it puzzles me that the Koran seems less enlightened in some respects than the bible.

The bible was compiled and written, then re written many times by comparatively well educated people.

The Koran is the crazed manifesto of a semi literate whackjob who cherrypicked bits of earlier works and then just threw in any shit he felt would help him gaiin adherents or maintain power.

I'd like to see some proof of this . . . and of course you know that much of it was orally communicated and then written second or third hand - who knows.

Ah, but you add your usual slippery-opt-out word: 'comparatively'. Nice.

From what I understand Mohammad couldn't read nor write

Have you actually read the Koran in it's original language?

Whoever the author/narrator really was, the texts were clearly addressing issues of the time and the place.
