I have already commented upon Ware's departure sometime ago when I suggested he may have been adhering to his itinerary. The victims had left the party for the secluded cove and he, doubtless, retired to his pit in preparation for his planned early morning departure oblivious of what had transpired.
PBS have now reported that according to Col. Big Bollox, police are now hunting for a group of Rohingya who landed in Phuket two days ago but then caught a Thai Navy patrol boat which deposited them near Kho Tao approximately one mile out from the cove where the couple were found.
They are REALLY determined that this isn't going to have been Thais.....
One of the two young British tourists brutally murdered on an idyllic Thai beach bravely fought for his life shortly before he was battered to death, it is being reported.
Forensic tests indicate that David Miller, 24, was involved in an intense struggle with his killer which resulted in him entering the sea.
He is then thought to have crawled or been dragged back to the beach, the Bangkok Post reported.
It also thought the second victim, Hannah Witheridge, was killed as she cried for help during the struggle.
Forensics experts says blonde hairs were discovered in the 23-year-old's right hand, which is currently being tested for DNA.
It emerged this morning that a friend of Mr Miller's has been quizzed by Thai police .
The British tourist wanted for questioning over the murders of the pair is speaking to cops in Bangkok.
The unnamed man was on the island at the time of the attacks but left shortly afterwards. It is understood he was a friend of Mr Miller's.
Thai Police told the Mirror the man had agreed not to leave the country while their inquiries continued.
They said he had not been “arrested” at the moment but would be questioned further in the coming 23 hours.
Police chief Colonel Prachum Ruangthong told the Mirror he saw “jealousy” as key to solving the crime.
“Why, why, why were they hit so hard, “ he said.
“It was bad, very bad.”
Forensic teams moved back into the hotel room of Hannah this morning as a result of new evidence received.

How could forensics tell that?
Sand in his shorts and traces of salt water?
On a guy who is AT THE BEACH???
Davis, actually, I was being facetious but who knows with this Keystone cop crew.....
But really, no decent police force in the world would speculate upon motive until all available evidence was collected in cases such as these. Jealousy? They haven't got the results of the forensic swabs yet so how can he possibly claim this unless he has already concluded the DNA sperm tests will confirm the rapists to be Caucasian.
It's just so damned unprofessional as to be beyond belief.
Time and again we have seen these diots examine a body and within a few minutes jump to conclusions that fit their feeble intellects.

^Made as much sense as much of the other crap.....
All over the UK news at the moment.
The pressure is mounting on the Thai police again.
So far, it's only been the Aussie press who have commented on the implausibility of the police utterances. Perhaps they still use real journalists instead of hacks rewriting UPI copy?
Autopsies completed on British murder victims
September 17, 2014 3:16 pm
The post-mortem report on David Miller, a British tourist killed on Koh Tao Island, has revealed that his death was the result of blows to the head and drowning, Pol Col Dr Pornchai Sutheerakune, commander of Institute of Forensic Medicine, said on Wednesday.
Water was found in Miller's lungs, his body showed traces of being dragged and there were wounds on the back of his hands, Pornchai said. The findings indicate that that he fought with his attackers, was beaten and then drowned, the doctor said.
The autopsy on the body of Hannah Witheridge, whose body was found near Miller's, showed she also had trauma to the head. There were also traces of recent sexual activity and semen was found in her vagina and anus. The doctors will use the seamen to try and identify the culprit and compare the DNA samples collected from the bodies with those from the suspects.
The doctors could not say what kind of object had been used to beat the victims only that it was a blunt object. Pornchai said he could yet not tell the time of death because the bodies has been frozen before sending them the autopsy.
With the autopsies now completed, the bodies could now be claimed. However, no request for release had yet been made.

Autopsy points to sex, struggle in Koh Tao murders
Water found in slain man's lungs; semen in female victim
Forensics results released Wednesday show that Briton David Miller had water in his lungs when he and romantic partner Hannah Witheridge were brutally killed early Monday on Koh Tao in Surat Thani province.

Tests performed by the Police Hospital's Institute of Forensic Medicine also confirmed that 23-year-old Witheridge had sexual relations shortly before her death. However, institute commander Pol Maj Gen Pornchai Suteerakhun did not indicate she had been raped, according to Matichon Online.
Full DNA results may be made available as soon as late Wednesday.
The couple was found half-naked in a secluded area of Sai Ree beach on the Phangan district island around 6.30am Monday.
Miller, 24, likely was killed with a blood-stained hoe found about 50 metres from the body, but Wednesday's forensics results point to an intense struggle before he died, with the victim entering the water at some point. He may have crawled or been dragged back to the beach.
Police earlier said Witheridge, who was found further from the water line than Miller, might have tried to fight an attacker trying to rape her. But as she cried for help, the killer beat her to death, said Surat Thanipolice chief Pol Maj Gen Kiattipong Khawsamang.

Police Tuesday began interrogating a group of Myanmar men working in the area, saying their probe was focusing on foreign workers. However, new evidence that emerged Wednesday has police again looking at fair-haired Miller's roommate, Christopher Alan Ware, as a leading suspect.
Forensics experts in Bangkok said they found, and are now DNA-testing, blonde hairs in Witheridge's right hand. Police also found a pair of Ware's blood-stained pants from in Miller's luggage and an Apple iPhone with long blonde hairs snagged on it
Ware, who a police official said had "left the island promptly" after being questioned and cleared by police, reportedly has been told to remain in Bangkok pending more investigation. Pol Sr Sgt Apichet Cherdguea told the German Press Agency that immigration officials have been asked to block his departure from Thailand.
"We called him in for questioning again because we found his earlier statements to be suspicious," Pol Col Prachoom Ruengthong, police chief for the nearby Koh Phangan island, told dpa.
AFP also reported a second Briton has been asked to remain in the country.
"They are not yet suspects... but we have asked them to cooperate until the case becomes clear," deputy national police chief Somyot Poompanmoung told the news agency.
In a statement issued late Tuesday Miller's family described the engineering graduate as "hard-working, bright, conscientious, with everything to look forward to.

Thai PM questions if 'tourists in bikinis' safe after murders
BANGKOK: Thailand's military ruler on Wednesday (Sep 17) questioned whether tourists in bikinis are safe in the kingdom, in comments following the murder of two Britons whose battered bodies were found on a Thai island.
David Miller, 24, and Hannah Witheridge, 23, were found dead on the southern island of Koh Tao on Monday, sparking a hunt for their killers. Post-mortem examinations were carried out on Wednesday after the bodies were brought to Bangkok.
But authorities are yet to make an arrest despite questioning several suspects including two British men - who are believed to have travelled with Miller - and a number of Myanmar migrant workers.
"There are always problems with tourist safety. They think our country is beautiful and is safe so they can do whatever they want, they can wear bikinis and walk everywhere," Prime Minister Prayuth Chan-ocha, who is also the army chief, told government officials. But "can they be safe in bikinis... unless they are not beautiful?" he said, addressing the issue of tourist safety in a speech broadcast live on television.
Prayuth, who seized power from elected government in a May 22 coup, is well known for making off-the-cuff remarks. His statement appeared to echo others made to reporters on Tuesday in which he questioned the behaviour of the murder victims as well as the perpetrators.
Thailand is desperate to avoid further damage to the nation's lucrative tourism industry, which has been battered in recent months after a prolonged political crisis ended in a coup. The army swiftly declared a curfew and strict martial law after coming to power in May, frightening off some visitors.

Can't blame the junta general PM - he is Thai after all and being a twat comes with the territory.
^ it would appear the GENT is spot on, from the farm to the factory right up to the leaders it would seem. They are indeed a bunch of xenophobic modern day barbarians hiding behind there so called pacifist Buddhist culture.
They seem to be competing to outdo each other......
Bisexual Element To Murder.
THAI police are preparing to arrest a British man over the brutal murder of his close friend and another female backpacker on an island beach popular with Australian tourists.
Christopher Alan Ware was stopped at Bangkok’s main airport with his brother James on Wednesday for more questioning on the slayings of David Miller and Hannah Witheridge at Koh Tao — a day after being told by police he could leave the island.
Initial forensic tests were carried out on the victims late today, pointing to a more complicated struggle before they were hacked to death with a garden hoe, typically used by beachside bars to dig holes for fires on the main beach.
In a further complication, the local police chief suggested there may be a bisexual element to the relationships and crime.
There is evidence both victims had sex either before or after they died, although it is not known with whom and if it was consensual.
Officers today swept the Ocean View resort where the Ware brothers and Mr Miller were sharing a room overlooking the beach — and the eventual murder scene — for fresh material to test for DNA, including some dried blood.
“In my experience this looks like a crime of passion,” police Colonel Prachum Ruangthong, superintendent of the Koh Pha Ngan police district that included Koh Tao
Thai police said that the British Embassy was cooperating with them as they sought more information from Mr Ware, who had previously been quizzed over the killings but allowed to leave the island
This now appears to have been a mistake.
“We have questioned Christopher — we now want to ask him a whole lot more questions,” Col Prachum said.

The Brit guy seems to be the main suspect at the moment .
He was caught at the airport trying to get a flight back to the UK, we need to know when the flight was booked .
If the flight was booked after the killings, he would seem to be guilty
