I remember having this very long discussion with a Farang, who whenever we talked politics, was a verbal clone of the group-think mushrooms my signature references.

He talked like them, reasoned like them, was a Thaksin hater using all their verbiage, to the point there was absolutely no doubt he was systematically indoctrinated by them.

But when I asked him what his nickname was, he pretended not to know what I was talking about. He also claimed to have this analytical, independent approach with his own sources. He claimed he was a research-intensive guy, all the while spilling out the mantra word-for-word from 'over there'.

Been down this road before HB.
I'd like you to bear in mind that I don't live in Thailand, and my knowledge of his dealings overseas, past and current, is probably a lot more extensive than your own, which judging by the "thaksin hater" epithet you apply to anyone who points out his crimes, is around about fucking zilch, give or take fuck all.

Don't believe everything the village idiots tell you. If they knew a fraction of the truth, they'd want him strung up.
Seeing as you don't live in Thailand, don't believe everything the foreign media tells you HB.

Many friends overseas send me political articles about Thailand from their media.

    Foreign journalists here are:

    1. Bangkok centric
    2. Linguistically out-of-touch with the UDD/Red Shirt Movement
    3. Linguistically in-touch with anti-Thaksin journalists who are an extention of coupists. People who have signed onto the self-serving, coupist criminalization program of their's.
    4. Are in social circles of their own kind, or with journalists from the propagandist domestic media
    5. Frequently paraphrase or simply copy stuff from the domestic, anti-Red Shirt media. I see identical thought patterns every time I read their overseas rhetoric. When talking to friends and family over there, they sound like PADites, just like you.

Something just struck me, and I need to ask a question Calgary, what is you level of spoken and written Thai? Do you attend you UDD meetings and have full, fluent access to the proceedings, or are you going through an interpreter? How is your reading of Thai? Are you at the menu level of reading or at the academic paper level? Just curious.

^ He has already stated he doesnt speak *any* Thai.

He also seems to believe that all Farangs have the same lack of knowledge that he does.

He ignores the fact that some of us have spent more than half of our lives here, speak read & write fluent Thai, have acquired Thai Citizenship, etc.

And the irony is he calls *us* mushrooms!

I dont think the man who would like to execute drug dealers immediately they are found guilty (he probably views the trial process as a waste of time as well) is going to read your memo.

Sorry Gerbil, I missed that, with Calgary I just skip his childish rants most of the time because they are just so, er, childish and full of nonsense. Now we know that he can't speak Thai it is even worse - he is getting everything filtered or from the English Language media! Amazing really, why would anyone make a tit out of themselves on that scale like that? Reading Thai to an intermediate level is necessary to get a balanced view of Thai politics. Jesus, how the hell can people take anyone seriously if they hold the views of Calgary but do not understand Thai?

A valid point. But how were they actually improved, in reality, that justifies the personal benefit taken by the square headed populist?

    The million baht a village?
    The 30-baht "healthcare"?
    The Water buffalo?
    The "war on drugs"?

Or was it mobile phone masts and cheap calls?

Harry, I would love to actually know the circumstance of Calgary's 'knowledge'. It would seem that he is indeed caught in a world he doesn't understand and is receiving 'the message' through other parties. Calgary the mushroom, who would have thunk it...

Given the alternatives, who can blame them. Pity he just fcuks it up on such a monumental scale though.

Feel free to highlight that Calgary is:

Actually just regurtitating someone else's views
    Is a troll
Has never 'actually spoken' to any red shirts himself.

But please don'r refer to his wife as a bint.

It's not necessary and it detracts from your message which is a good one.

I've got some time off work coming up, and I'm always willing to learn new things, get a different view of life.

It would, I think, be instructive to attend one of these Red Village shin-digs, having Calgery along as a guide to share his inside knowledge would be great.

Any chance Calgery of an invite to one of your regular meetings with the local Red Shirt brass?

We have and we think you are a fool.

Discussing anything with you is pointless, so laughing at your blindness is more fun and less frustrating for some.

I warned you, and you've brought it on yourself.

the problem is you don't have a message, just some schizophrenic delusional rant

seriously Calgary, you need to take meds for your condition, a lot of people like you have normal lives under medical treatment, you will see the world in a different light, not the scary world you are trying to project and defend yourself from.
