He had not lied to Congress about his lack of knowledge of the operation, neither was he running interference for President Obama, who similarly had no knowledge of the operation, which was authorised and run by the ATF and DEA at regional level. Likewise President Bush before him had no knowledge of the ATF/ DEA gun running operation during his term.

Calls to impeach Eric Holder and President Obama over the manufactured "scandal" and false (egregiously false) accusations strangely went quiet at that point, and the GOPaliens retreated to the planet GopBlog to plan their next operation. Enter Benghazi....
