The Counted:
People killed [historically] by US interests worldwide.
And ..... for a bit of balance.
National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund: Officer Deaths by Year

Of course there will be more police killings in the US than other nations.
There are a lot of weapons and a lot of violence.
The question is IMO, how many are justified killings? How many are not?
IMHO it's possible the USA is a much sicker nation than we realize. Having done a small bit of research about serial killers I'm not sure bad cops are worth my time any more. I read somewhere the FBI estimates there are 50 active serial killers in the USA at any given time. We rarely hear about this stuff on TV anymore unless there is a reason to sensationalize the story. Go ahead and do a youtube search ...
"National crisis" seems to be a bit over-the-top, and it's an article from the Guardian (which puts out some good material).
Cops are quicker to pull the trigger. Hesitation is a risk many don't want to take b/c the consequences are death or permanent injury.
Sure some shootings are unjustified.
But we can look at the over-all homicide rates among citizens, random shootings, drive-bys, and mass shootings, the latter which are becoming more frequent.
