Doesn't the bible say that the dead stay dead until judgement day? "when the sea shall give up her dead".
Heaven and Hell are empty until judgement day.

Kerux, are you going to comment on post #316? You're the bible expert.

Instead, several sects of various religions, including yours, have the stupidity to declare the final judgement will occur on this or that date, only to see that date pass them by.

Judgement will occur on judgement day, and not a day sooner.![]()

My question wasn't WHEN is judgement day. My question is, according to the bible, we stay dead until Judgement day, so, Heaven and Hell is presently empty.
Is that right? You're the one who knows the bible. Please answer the question.

Luke 16:19-31 19 There was a certain rich man, which was clothed in purple and fine linen, and fared sumptuously every day: 20 And there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, which was laid at his gate, full of sores, 21 And desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man's table: moreover the dogs came and licked his sores. 22 And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham's bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried; 23 And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom. 24 And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame. 25 But Abraham said, Son, remember that thou in thy lifetime receivedst thy good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things: but now he is comforted, and thou art tormented. 26 And beside all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed: so that they which would pass from hence to you cannot; neither can they pass to us, that would come from thence. 27 Then he said, I pray thee therefore, father, that thou wouldest send him to my father's house: 28 For I have five brethren; that he may testify unto them, lest they also come into this place of torment. 29 Abraham saith unto him, They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them. 30 And he said, Nay, father Abraham: but if one went unto them from the dead, they will repent. 31 And he said unto him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead.
When unsaved souls die they go straight to that place commonly referred to as hell. You're thinking of the lake of fire, in which all those including Satan will be cast into afer the judgement and their name is not found written in the Book of Life.
Rev. 20:
11 And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them. 12 And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. 13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell F32 delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. 14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. 15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire .

Nope, I'm thinking of Judgement Day, which as far as I know, hasn't arrived yet.
From the bible, what happens on Judgement Day:-
The ground will give up the dead who sleep there in silence, and the souls of the dead will be released from the places where they have been kept. 33 God Most High will appear on his judgment seat.
According to the bible, we are all dead until Judgement Day, then we get sorted (the Bible uses a metaphor "like fish") into sinners and believers. We go to Heaven or Hell.
Therefore Heaven and Hell are empty, awaiting their respective residents on Judgement Day.

Okay, but I thought you asked what I thought and I quoted the Big Guy's Book and He disagrees with you.
The account in Luke shows that some people are still alive while there are some in 'torments." So this is before judgement day, but hey, what do I know?

I'm a mod here, Kerux, I have to read your gibberish whether I like it or not.
And I don't like it.
I deleted 20 dross posts, and I only bothered with the last few pages...
Please note that Issues is for serious discussions, not to be confused with ajarn's soapbox.
Kerux, members and mods are getting tired of your drivel.

Please explain dross and drivel.
And when you do, please be assured, even though I have never once notified a mod about a post, I will notify you about each and every single post that I feel falls into your definition of dross or drivel in this Issues forum, the "serious forum."
My guess is there is a double standard.
The facts say otherwise:Kerux, members and mods are getting tired of your drivel.
Bible 101 was started on the 10th. Since then it has generated 2245 visits and 318 replies, respectively. Thats 224.5 visits and 31.8 replies per day, respectable stats and they fly in the face of your assertion.
One of the other threads I started just five days ago, 9/11 Unraveling, has 113/888 replies/visits respectively. That's 26.5 replies and 177 visits per day, and it's just getting started. I would challenge you to find any other poster, especially among those members who are getting "tired of my dross and drivel," to produce thread stats that even come close to those. May I suggest that it is they, not I, that produce the dross and drivel here? They remind me of moths who complain of the light, but can't stay away and complain too about the heat.
In short, these whiners are getting jealous, no, make that envious, not tired.
May I remind you that they don't need to be one of those who visit this thread and they certainly don't need to be one who replies, but I'm sure they do.
And by the way, if the owner of Teak Door would like me to leave, just say the word and I'm gone. I don't need this. You're fortunate I don't charge for my time spent here.

How much would you charge, kerux, and would that be in baht or blessings for a brain in your next incarnation?
Btw, am I still on ignore? 5 days already?

What utterKerux, replies to your posts stating that people think what you say is "Gibberish" or that "members and mods are getting tired of your drivel" is hardly a sign of appreciation of your whit and charm, its more an indication that people think you are a prat with too much time on your hands and no abilities to utilizre that time in a useful manner.
Tell us why you do not carry out your christian evangelizing to the people around you, in Thailand that might have got you some brownie points with your imaginary god and also get you sacked from your job, but I suspect that where you are now it would get you much more; like about a ton of rocks dropped on your so empty noggin. Go on, do us all a favor and evangelise to the muslims about how wrong their belief in the Koran is and how they should be following the prophet jesus, see where that gets you!
You dont have the bottle nor the belief in heaven thats strong enough to do that so instead you choose to bore us all.

typos left in above to allow you room to maneuver around having to answer the questions raised.
