Teaching tolerance I am okay with that.. but teaching children about sex, and this other garbage in the books.. I was a little taken aback by the page exerts they had in the article...
Again I can appreciate teaching tolerance, but why are they pushing this garbage to young kids..???

^Well... if you aren't concerned about global warming you can't really BE a "Leftie", seeing as "Leftie" is defined by such things.

There is very little wriggle room in the "Leftie" straightjacket, no "one from column A, one from column B, one from column C" Chinese menu approach. It's more a kind of "if you're not with us or you're against us" thing.

Not that Bush et al were Lefties.

I went to the sites you linked, none of them contain links to the things you are claiming as far as I can tell.

The first one goes to Gateway Pundit where they go on about fisting but all the links on it are to biggovernment.com or bland glsen.com pages.

On the biggovernment.com site there are 2 links that allegedly show pages of the book Revolutionary Voices that depict first:
"An illustration about the change from “boy to man,” showing two Boy Scouts pointing at and looking at two adult men engaging in anal sex"
and the second that claims:
"A work of art shows a Boy Scout giving a salute behind two men kissing passionately."

I took a deep breath and checked them out, both links go to a "404 Page not found error" ( example ), and anyway neither has anything to do with fisting as far as I can tell. The only mentions of the word "fisting" are links back to allegations that the books contain it, but no proof. Either the webmaster is an idiot or they are making stuff up.

The link to the glsen.com/Revolutionary Voices site right before the links to the fisting "examples" that don't work and therefore are not actually links to anything of the sort bring up this brief message at the glsen site:

Now, I can understand that it is satisfying to claim that the Obama admin is promoting the teaching of fisting to minors in a desperate effort to continue the current GOP policy of sitting on the sidelines and slinging feces at everything but the links simply don't support the claims you made.

Well to answer the first question.... I think the reason the climate debate has been divided along such political lines has to do in great part by the media... CNN, FOX, CNBC and so on along with every radio program out there from Rush to Air America we get it from both sides and I think that it has a tendency for people to automatically think they should be on one side or the other depending on party affiliation and Science be damned.... While the comment (Climate Crowd Lefties) got the response I wanted... ehh to an extent....
I agree with what you said .... I dont think that everyone on the climate bandwagon is a liberal any more than i think everyone against it is a rightist....
I do believe that a large amount of people on both sides do care about their cause and just because I dont buy in to the climate change medium like some do there are some things i agree with..

Going back to a prior post (of mine) I talked about the importance of doing some the things in the Living Green ideals...
alternative fuels, recycling, building homes capable of living self sufficiently. And even do agree that there are a number of things that need to be done to clean up our environment.... I buy in to the farmers plans for building filtered drain fields for run off... This in turn helps removing chemicals from the water... Things like that I am all in favor of..
but I think the part that gets under the craw of many "rightist" is the way the government is using this as another opportunity to take away our money and impose their will on us.... The fact that I think Al Gore's science is garbage... If Gore TRUELY Believes in his "science" why not debate Monckton...??? But more importantly people need to look at the science themselves and decide what they believe...

SO To answer your question: Why should a conservative be less worried.... I dont call it being worried. I think we all need to do the things we can to keep our planet healthy.... but I am not going to rush out and buy a hybrid or use 1 square of toilet paper, and certainly not compost human sh*T in my back yard.... I will do everything i can for sustainable living, recycling, and teaching my children about the importance to our environment and renewable resources.

I am not saying that the claims you made are completely without merit, I don't know one way or the other, but the things you linked to back up the claims are just more circular links.
