The American government, Republican or otherwise needs to set up a stable middle east command post. They've been looking for a while. They will be looking for a lot longer. Might vs Right, be it in the eyes of the beholder, or not, has rarely worked in the past and why any different now. That the "right" is a middle east politicle, religious and cultural playing field seems to be lost on the "Walmart" uber allas mentality of the US government. Divided by something a huge percentage of Iraquis and Afghanis don't understand on the most fundamental level, Democracy...huh, things were better than they are now...US go home is a mantra of the poor who just want what they remember was "normal" Converting the populaces for the purposes of world politicle stability, "Democracy" doesn't have a great track record. Business will prevail though, even at a 10% success, smells like profit for some

    Milkdad,

I think you too often let your humming-bird mouth over run your mocking-bird ass. Hell, I'll be the first to admit that I'm quite possibly as fukced up as Hogan's Goat.

You keep trying to tell me what I believe and what I think. Thanks, but I didn't solicit your advice for personal reform. Politics is exactly what's going on right now with GWB and al-Maliki. Win or lose they won't be saying the same things after the elections; it will be back to business as normal.

You guys keep trying to make me feel guilty about enjoying a little shore duty ... I'd think you'd be smart enough to realize by now it doesn't work. I have nothing to be ashamed of. I've served my country honorably. And what you or any other poster in this forum thinks rolls off my back like water on a duck's ass. I stand behind my beliefs and willingly deploy on a moments notice. But only for a few more months. That won't change anything though ... I'll still support GWB even with all his blemishes and warts.

Don't be such a baby dude ... you've given me just as much shit over the past couple of years as I've given you. You do seem to get kinda worked up though when you lose a point here and there.

You do seem to take alot of stock in what I say ... both you and raycarey seem to be able to come up with quotes from things I've said even a couple of years back. I'm sorry if it offends you but I don't pay that close of attention to what you guys say. Why should I ? I don't had my identity like the two of you. You know exactly who I am and i really don't know anything about you except for where you're from and where you went to university. Sorry, but that's just not enough for me to consider you a credible source.

^ You still are unable to have a rational discussion based upon facts.

What you just said above doesn't address the issue or facts, or the 2 questions I have asked you five times.

Rhetorical question; perhaps you are drunk by your unusual lack of punctuation and syntax.

No, it is a quote from an old rap tape I used to listen to. The brothers make good music but the old eubonics doesn't pass muster on the grammar front...

They champion falsehood, support the butcher against the victim, the oppressor against the innocent child. May God mete them the punishment they deserve

The casualty numbers will probably continue as long as there are more U.S. forces in Baghdad.

The Iraq Study Group will release its finding in the coming months.

What may reveal how silly and incompetent this is, is the possiblity that this Iraq Study Group will recommend that Iraq be partitioned into 2 separate nation-states.

This will likely ignite a major fight for, you guessed it:

    Oil.

But they died for a good and just cause - getting rid of Saddam's WMD which posed a direct and immediate threath to the US. Remember, those WMD that the Bush admin had proof were out there......

Pics really aren't needed in this thread because it's to be "emotional."

I don't sympathize with photos of people crying at funerals.

Problem is you do support them. You love it when their shiitehead brethren kill Americans. You've posted that many times.

We know where are soldiers are coming from.
Where are the "enemy" soldiers coming from?
with that many dead they need to re-enforce.
Where are those re-enforcements coming from?
    -----------------------
    possible recruits

    1. radical muslims that are fighting a holy war
    2. a disagreeing religious faction against the shiites
    3. Old Iraq loyalists
    4. members of countries that are anti-U.S.
    5. Iraqi citizens who feel wronged by the occupation
    6. possible members of terrorist cells

    just a thought

^^Lovely photo ops. Goebbels would be proud of the Pentagon's propaganda machine.

^By going into Iraq and making a total mess of the place we have essentially poured gasoline on the fire of Islamic jihadism. And we have lost all our moral ground in the 'war on terror.' Goering would be proud.

The USA hasn't made a mess of anything. But we do keep trying to do the right thing. It does get tiresome I suppose always cleaning up the messes of others.

We haven't lost any moral ground whatsoever. We are becoming a nation of defeatists apologists though.

No the USA hasn't made a mess. You'd be more on target to recognize that the Syrians, Iranians and some Saudis have made life miserable for alot of Iraqis.

Where do you get the information you base your opinion on ?

I might be able to understand your point of view better if I knew where you were getting your information to form your opinions.
