Hey boonmee ... aren't your tiring of the instant gratification crowd yet?
Everything is a jerk off to them and should be done in less than 30 seconds.

If your country could stop sponsoring terrorists, despots and dictators, and instead promote freedom and democracy everywhere, not just where it suits the US, I am sure it will be over in no time.
Stop the hypocracy, and try to gain the moral high ground - that will benefit both yourself and the rest of the world in the long run.
Any error in tact, fact or spelling is purely due to transmissional errors...
It sure seems like it would be a whole hell of a lot simple if the world would quit pussy footing around and collectively let these terrorist minority groups know their bullshit isn't gonna be tolerated. Quit being so afraid and wanting to kowtow because of fear.
Sadly it seems only good men like GWB, TB and JH are willing to do the right thing for their countries. To those great leaders I say, "Press On" !
It looks like Iraqmire's not just for breakfast any longer, the occupation of Afghanistan is turning more and more into a quagmire as well. Well, if the Afghans drove the Soviets out then running out the U.S. should be a piece of cake. The Taliban now controls half of Afghanistan now and due to the Afghani President's ill conceived notion of running the country (his only real experience being a front-man for oil companies) more and more Afghans are turning against the coalition forces.
At least they weren't starving when the Taliban were in control.
Security and Development Policy Group - full_report
I thought the UN and British were handling Afghanistan now ?
When GW Bush is done in the WH:
1. Talibans will be back in control in Kabul
2. Iraq will be in civil war
3. Iran will have nuke
4. NK will show off its nukes
5. Cuba will have a new Communist President
6. Chavez will be a rich man
7. Osama will be somewhere on a beach drinking Manahattan Islands.
And the USA ? OWNED AND RUINED !!!
Mission Accomplished Mr Bush.
Don't forget, year after year more and more terrorist attacks as well. Most in history: 2005, Iraq.
Since 2001 we have invaded and plundered two countries, been directly responsible for the deaths of tens of thousands of civilians, and we have caused two civil wars while supporting another terrorist state all the while comically putting Saddam on trial for war crimes.
If it weren't so damn funny I swear it would make a good Twilight Zone.
The fake conservatives on this board can't be bothered to read the terrorism report prepared by their own government. That requires thinking and the acknoledgement that the war on terror is a failure in the sense of political success but a huge success for a few who stand to benefit enormously from our little escapades on the other side of the world.
Tens of thousands of people are dead including 2600 servicemen and we're worse off than before. Way to go!
Thank God Chucklenuts can't be re-elected in 2008.
How are you sure of that ? anything can happen. Wouldn't suspending the US Constitution be an opportunity for Bush to stay a bit longer. As much as I predicted the Iraq war happening when Bush was elected, I can predict with certainty, another "convenient" 911 happening before his term ends.Originally Posted by surasak

what a simp.
Apparently the so-called security crackdown didn't result in any decline in deaths due to the occupation:
http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20060907/...olent_deaths_5
Baghdad recorded more than 1,500 violent deaths in August, according to final figures released this week by the Health Ministry. The final count was roughly the same as the figure the ministry released for July, before the U.S.-led security crackdown began in the Baghdad area.
Hey surasak,
At least in this "quagmire" thread you don't just get page after page after page of reach arounds like the "quagmire" thread in ajarn.
Over there all you get is one upmanship from like minded posters who creatively try to outdo the last guy's claim of GWB is fucked up ... and the next guy sez, "No, he's fucked up as Hogan's Goat dude". Then the next guy sez, 'America is fucked up" and then the next guy sez, "Yeah, right on brother ... pass the bong dude"...Pretty much all of the anti-commie liberal group has been run off or banned.
I"M STARTING TO REALLY FUCKIN' HATE TEFLERS.
^ I agree actually with you here SK, nothing worse than Liberals Only circle jerk whinning. Nothing like a few enlightened debates and pigfights with our redneck republican friends
The other extreme is the NeoCons idiots parading like nothing bad is happening, like we have on the borepit

but hey, let's get back to the quagmire...
washingtonpost.com - nation, world, technology and Washington area news and headlinesBAGHDAD, Sept. 7 -- Baghdad's morgue almost tripled its count for violent deaths in Iraq's capital during August from 550 to 1,536, authorities said Thursday, appearing to erase most of what U.S. generals and Iraqi leaders had touted as evidence of progress in a major security operation to restore order in the capital.
Separately, the Health Ministry confirmed Thursday that it planned to construct two new branch morgues in Baghdad and add doctors and refrigerator units to raise capacity to as many as 250 corpses a day.
maybe GWB's master plan isn't to spread democracy, but just open more morgues.
Already posted that a few posts up.
i was trying to bring further emphasis to how the morgue construction business is booming in baghdad.
Apparently the morgue business is booming in Afghanistan as well. Car bombings, more British soldiers killed, the top U.S. commander warning that if more troops aren't sent in then the Taliban are going to be tough to beat.
First the Phillipines, then Iraq, and now Afghanistan. If the war on terror were a football game we would be down 49-0 in the last quarter (American football) and have allowed Quarterback Bush and Wide Receiver Blair to screw it all up via fumbles and dropped passes.
Guardian Unlimited | Guardian daily comment | Talk to Mullah Omar, if it saves British soldiers' lives
The last sentence is most damning of all. If the Soviets lost in Afghanistan with 120,000 troops what makes us think Iraq will be in our win column? This time there are no excuses. Every scrap of intelligence warned the government not to fight a war against insurgency in south Afghanistan. Ask the CIA, MI6, the former service chiefs Lord Inge and Lord Guthrie, and Nato allies who thought the then defence secretary, John Reid, was mad. Ask the Americans, who were losing more men than in Iraq and were wisely withdrawing. Read the reports published throughout 2004/5 that the Taliban were back in strength. These were veteran guerrillas, well armed, who could count on the tacit support of tens of thousands of tribal militias. What made Tony Blair think he could beat them with just 4,000 soldiers? The Soviets lost with 120,000.
it's over. the 'coalition of the willing' lost....badly.Originally Posted by surasak

however, i'm sure that when GWB is out riding his mountain bike he's still hoping for the best.
Like a poster stated quite some time ago: Afghanistan is the forgotten war.Originally Posted by surasak
It's also very likely that Afghanistan is the LOST WAR.
This is becoming a reality, and isn't just an opinion.
The U.S. left quickly to go to Iraq. The UK never sent enough anyway.
Not only is Iraq is potential loss (I think likely) but it looks like Aghanistan is indeed a loss.
