To me, Neo-liberalism is the form of government and policy-making that claims to be "democratic" and representative of the population.

But in reality is serves the special interests, PACs, corporations, big donors and other "groups" with regard to: trade agreements internationally, domestic legal statutes (laws) tax laws, criminal court laws, and the electronic and print media. (The media serves the interests of special interest groups).

Neo-Liberalism is the present form of some (but not all) Western democtratic societies, such as the UK, and US.

Under Neo-Liberalism the agenda of what is important and what is not important is dictated by the government and the media. Both go hand in hand with one another.

Neo-Liberalism is similar in some ways to Marxist-Leninism.

A small group of "educated intellectuals" decide what is important.

They then dictate this "importance" to the masses via the media and education system.

Similar to the Leninist concept of the Vanguard.

The masses are too stupid to envision the future, or decide what is important in their (our) lives.

So a small group of elites will decide for us.

And who benefits....the small group of elites.
