I think Obama was the front guy. Bill Ayers, the terrorist, couldn't swing the gig so he arranged for Obama, clean cut young law professor, to get the job. Black Harvard graduate, Obama was a shoe in. From his position as chair head of the Chicago Annenberg Challenge, Obama could funnel the cash to Ayers. Obama could have wound up being a stooge but he was intelligent enough to end up being a front man who by mere chance and good fortune has graduated to US Senator. This is America, the America Obam's wife complains about. Who do they wish to give credit to for Obama's achievements. Is she willing to share the credit? I know when she looks up at him when he's speaking on stage, I know she says, "I got him there. I did it."

Whatever you may think of the job, and the government money thrown at it, a stint as a community organiser is pretty good training for being a politician- you're effectively doing many of the same things, but on a smaller scale.

Most would not post stupid questions, goes back to having at least a little bit of COMMON SENSE. The list you posted was not using common sense. Grow up or at least get 2 brain cells to rub together BEFORE you make a list.

    6. Fly Tipping;
    7. Graffiti;
    8. Vandalism;

What the flock is "fly tipping", I'm not going to bother to google it.

Graffiti, now this really shows how little brain power you have at your disposal.

Vandalism, Is the person breaking windows or setting off bombs?

Time for a GAG order for you, "Get A Grip" on reality, Lord knows your brain is toast.
Surely not knowing what things are and then refusing to find out makes you the dim one, no?

Sabang. Come on, now. Let's be honest.

Community organizer? Isn't that like a petty officer?

You think BO wants to be thought of as a donation collector?

I'm shocked and appalled that a community organizer might be president just a few years later.

    Why Obama will Win ?

When you Google who is the worst President in History ever, you will find no alternative answer but G.Bush.
You can Google it on a Deutsch, Spanish, Chinese, Muslim, Christian, Children, North, South, Democracy, Communist site.....the answer is the same.....G.Bush.
Please America ! Not another Republican President!
Another Assimilation of G.Bush will be too much to bear.

    Vote Obama !!

You included "Fly tipping" in with these:7. Graffiti; 8. Vandalism; and question whether these were enough to warrant loss of voting rights and this is what my point was as why I said you are DIM. Like I said, get a brain and then try to make at least some kind of sense. Go away troll.

^And if you read my post, you would see that the punishment for fly tipping was more severe in the UK than for assault where an injury is caused, the latter of which is a felony in the USA. Therefore, by the same standards, if the UK adopted this voting ban, fly-tippers would presumably be disenfranchised as well...

A highly educated, literate Presidential nominee who is also an excellent public communicator and has a plan for positive change is good enough for me. The fact that he's half black and zero percent Republican is a bonus.

I suppose 'swishes' is an overweight Republicans term for being elegant- well not being ugly or clumsy is certainly no problem, and at least he doesn't scare babies when he smiles, or emit a whining sound when he speaks like McSame.

Here's two things Obama will do that GOP hogtied McCain can not-
1- make America likable again to many people around the world.
2- improve the lot of the average American.

    Way overdue, imho.

    Here's a few:

Next time there is a "real" need to use military action maybe we could use a few more willing allies.

    or how about

The next war won't happen if disputes with other countries are solved diplomatically.

    or how about

A strong US economy won't pull the rest of the world into recession.

The rest of the world feels Obama will be the best at making these things happen. This is all the poll Ivor posted states. It is up to US voters to decide but they should be of concern to US voters as well.

    Concern? Maybe, maybe not.

Is it going to have any effect on voters? Highly doubtful. Despite what some may think, it's not a world election.

Thailand is choosing another Prime Minister now -- so is Japan.

Do you honestly think the parties consult with the US State Department and take polls among American voters to help them determine who will be the best choice for harmonious relations around the world?

    It's preposterous.

Wouldn't it be ironic if Obama loses the popular vote but wins the electoral vote? Polls indicate that is a real possibility.

Would all the anti-americans claim the result is undemocractic as they did when Bush won in 2000?

And who is trying to log in as me?

but considering mccain voted with bush 90% of the time, you can understand why people might get confused.

i think it's easy to tell them apart.....old people smell.
    and mccain is old.
    72.
he was born in the 30s, for god's sake.

but ok jet, if they're so dissimilar, perhaps you could point our the significant differences on the three major issues of this election...

    1. the economy
    2. iraq
    3 health care

go ahead, show me how mccain and bush on these three issues are markedly different.

Going slightly off-topic, I don't recall an election before, where the two main contenders have such a high probability of not finishing their term. McCain through old age and Obama through the assassination threat.

Which leads us back to the VP picks...

And a humourous take on the GB intervention from Littlejohn of the Daily Wail:

    With a friend like this...

The John McCain camp is complaining about an article in which Gordon Brown breaks protocol and backs Barack Obama.

I don't know what he's bothered about. Short of an endorsement from the Grim Reaper, it couldn't get much worse for the Democratic candidate.

If Gordon's backing Obama, McCain's home and dry.

When did US citizens ever vote on who they wanted to be the next leader of another country?

Fukuda resigned as Japan's PM. The ruling LDP will choose the next leader (Sep 22 I think) who can call a snap election but does not need to do so until next September. Still, two PMs resigning within a year looks really bad. Maybe if Aso gets in with a new cabinet things will improve.
