Living here in Merica, I can see people's attitudes changing a lot. Less excitement for the future, less vacation plans, and general concern for just about everything. And those are from natural-born citizens with Thai and Hispanic friends getting a lot quieter and reducing social media posts. People are generally feeling that the USA is less friendly these days. More than a feeling, I think it is true.

That said, I did have the misfortune to sit next to a staunch Teflon Don supporter for 45 minutes the other day. No amount of facts would dissuade him from his idolization of the Felon. Crazy thing was, he thought Jeffrey Sachs was a MAGA man. I had to explain to them that Sachs thinks the orange one is as dumb as a post as I do. I asked him if he knew that Trump had threatened witnesses in several of his trials? Do you know of the 13 year olds that his buddy Epstein and he were accused of molesting? All lies he said, and I told him to go look up the official court affidavits to see what I am missing. So, the cult goes on. His parting comment was "So....I guess you don't like Tucker Carlson either?"

Trump is destroying what America was, that is for sure.

When his cost of living goes way up and he is unemployed, he will have a change of mind and no doubt blame Biden.

I have a couple of Thai friends who came here on student visas, a little over 10 years ago, and never left. They’re both married with kids, and their husbands are undocumented, from Mexico.
    They are petrified.

Sad to see such a once great nation dragged to these depths. What I find depressing is that many of these trumpanzees are boomers who lived through the Cold War. For them to have their brains so thoroughly wiped of memories is horrifying and testament to the power of brainwashing.

Surely they would consider the likes of Ronald Reagan, George Bush, Casper Wineburger, Don Rumsfeld etc. to be RINOS. Madness.

Anyone with savings has probably been stung by the tariff kerfuffle. Americans chose Trump despite his unsuccessful first presidential term and Biden's very solid economy. Americans looked at what the other mob were offering and said "hell no". Not all Trump voters are Trumpsters. They can be unpinned from Trump (but insulting the deplorables makes this less likely).

The Dems don't give a fxck about many Americans on Struggle Street. They're too busy cozying up to Hollywood, feminists and other fxcking woke trash. They had told those losing jobs from globalization to learn coding. I'm not surprised the grievance industry is booming. Hollywood is loathsome (e.g. Rachel Zegler). The Dems are unappealing. I quite liked Biden but there's little or no sympathy for masculine frailty in the modern world.

Republican, Democrat, Independent doesn't matter. They are all bought and paid for and have only one single goal. Get reelected! George as ever is spot on.

They can't get re-elected without kowtowing to sponsors, which of course are usually corporations, and who now can donate freely after a conservative SCOTUS said they are "people".

I see Suzie Wiles, Trump's campaign chair, thought the Democrats ran a very flawed campaign. She said voters want authenticity and Harris wasn't offering that. One of Clinton's former chiefs of staff, Panetta, said you can't tiptoe like Harris into the Presidency. That looks too weak.

Biden's aids and cabinet should have stood up and convinced him that he could not run sooner, so that a proper Democratic primary could have taken place. That primary would have chosen a real candidate who could have defeated the orange moron.

It wasn't just her. She was relatively centrist.

It's the whole democrat platform. It (or should I say It/They) is fucking barking.

Why do you think they lost everything.

Which Trump impression is the best?

The first one was the best for me, although the hosts disagree.

Shame they did not play more of the Shane Gillis studio segment as it is quite good

If you are unable to find humour in someone doing an impression of Trump (and quite a good one) then I humbly submit that you are truly a reactionary, blinkered and blind partisan.

Trump is obnoxiously conceited in many ways (although part of this, in his second term, has become self-aware self-parody I suspect) so most people, particularly opponents, would normally find impressions of him (i.e. lampooning and making fun of him) to be amusing.

I think you have truly lost the political plot if you are no longer able to find humour in parody, which used to be apolitical neutral territory and common ground for the masses to share a viewpoint, regardless of their political neural wiring.

^I will happily admit that Trump is riddled with faults and problems in his personal style and many of his policy strategies.

Will you admit that there are some aspects of Trumps governance and policy that are actually good?

    e.g.

    1. Securing the US southern border
    2. Deporting the most dangerous illegal migrants
    3. Pushing back on the badly thought out DEI policies of recent years
    4. Pulling the rug from under the Trans nonsense
    5. Focusing on a process to improve government efficiency
    6. Dismantling some of the more farcical US AID programs

You don't have to agree with all of them but do you agree that some of them have some merit?

If not then who is the blinkered partisan?

    1. Most illegal immigrants arrive by air and overstay. The whole "caravan of illegals" is trumpanzee bollocks.
    2. He's deporting innocent people.
    3. It's actually DEIA. The Republicans dropped Accessibility because even though they want to shit on blacks and women, they know people might draw the line at the disabled.
    4. Trans people don't stop being trans because scared Republicans hate them. They have the some of the worst rates of suicide in the country thanks to horrible little shits like you.
    5. Stripping government bodies that investigate crimes, collect taxes and regulate corporations is not about "improving government efficiency", it's about allowing the orange turd to exert control and line the pockets of his sponsors, friends and family.
    6. Agree on *some* of them.

Most of it is just the sort of bollocks you get from watching Fox News.

So yes, the blinkered partisan is you.

At least we managed a post without you "thinking" or "feeling" that the US legal system should be dismantled further by the mango mussolini.
The next post may be brought to you by my little bitch Spamdreth

The question is not whether you are able to find Trump himself funny.

The question is whether you are able to find humour in somebody doing an impression of Trump.

Doing an impression of a political leader is lampooning them. Almost anybody would normally find such an impression funny, if it were well done, regardless of their political preferences.

    .
It wasn’t the impressions, you simpleton. (although the world has grown tired of Trump impressions) It was the two humorous turds, that were rating them.
And by the way, you don’t have much credibility calling someone “reactionary, blinkered, and blind partisan”, when you post links to two of the most partisan hacks, in Michael Knowles, and Ben Shapiro.

I don't think the 2 hosts were trying to be funny themselves, but if you want to subtract them from the equation, did you not find any of the Trump impressions themselves funny?

This was an overstatement. I do not think people have lost the plot, if they do not find Trump impressions funny, but I do find it curious.

Given that impressions are making fun of someone, i.e. belittling them, I would think that normally their political opponents would relish such parodies even more than their political sympathisers. It is curious if a leader is able to evoke such a negative reaction that even their opponents find simply lampooning them to be without humour.
