Exactly what I and many others are pushing for in Ukraine. Common sense tells us that some of the eastern parts of Ukraine that are overwhelmingly pro-Russian will be 'lost' to Russia- and I can understand that is hard for some to swallow. But Ukraine will remain as one of the largest countries in Europe, and at least there will be something left to save, and reconstruct. Meanwhile the same sort of carnage you experienced in Vietnam continues in eastern Ukraine, while the whole nations electricity grid is being decimated. What's the point, when these Russian occupied areas that form a fraction of Ukraine's land mass explicitly do not want to be 'liberated'?peace treaty negotiated
Hard for you to swallow, obviously. Tough shit junior. If, as an American, you still have not learnt from your nations experience of trying to 'liberate' places that do not want to be 'liberated', then you never will.
Vietnam, Iraq, Afghanistan, Syria, Venezuela, Nicaragua. I could go on.
When does your constant stream of lies and bullshit end?![]()
Me thinks you and Snubs should get a room Sab.![]()
Back to reality. The Ukrainians continue to prosecute this war, and they are winning on the battlefield...
IZIUM AXIS/2015 UTC 2 DEC/ UKR has advanced the Forward Edge of the Battle Area (FEBA) to a line conforming with the N-S axis of the P-66 HWY. Ukrainian maneuver elements have severed the P-66 HWY north of Kremenna- severing RU's Lines of Communication & Supply (LOCS).![]()
I don't think Korea belongs on the list of places that did not want to be liberated norts. It was, and remains, a north/south divide- much as Ukraine is (roughly speaking) an east west divide, or put in more ethnic terms, a Galician/ Russophone divide.
Vietnam- nah, the safe majority of Vietnamese people wanted their ancient country to remain united, not cleft in two. Of course you had your allies, but.....
Yes the armchair generals sending the young into hell.
I think many outside Ukraine including Russia would like to turn the clock back a year to the status quo ante of 2021.
Of course the conflict can be traced back through 2014, the transfer of Crimea to Ukraine, The outcome of WW2 , the Russian revolution and general disunity amongst Slavs along ethnic and religious lines.
However for good or ill many Ukrainians after s much loss , death destruction may well wish to regain pre 2014 borders including the Russian speaking Luhansk and Donbas areas .
The real sticking point may well be Ukraine.
Its location the naval base means it is a big prize to both and the desire to deny it to the other.
It cannot be impossible the Ukrainians will destroy or make unsafe the already damaged Kerch Start bridge making the whole of Crimea vulnerable and once the "neck " closed at Armyansk and M28 highway any Russian forces left will need seaborne or aerial evacuation.

Of course this will be way above your head, and you totally lack a sense of irony or humour, but.....
A Russian sitting by an American on an airplane says he’s on his way to the United States to study its propaganda techniques, and the American asks “What propaganda techniques?” And the Russian replies, “Exactly!”
In an updated version of this joke, the American might reply either “Oh, you mean Fox,” or “Oh, you mean MSNBC,” depending on which church he belongs to. Either it’s obvious propaganda, for example, that Trump won an election and perfectly normal to have claimed for years that Trump was owned by Putin. Or it’s obvious propaganda that Trump works for Russia, but simple straightforward news reporting that Trump had an election stolen from him. The possibility that two competing propaganda systems both include the primary ingredient of horse manure doesn’t occur to people so long habituated to thinking of propaganda as something only others could be infected by.

It seems he's on a mission to out-stupid skidmark.
He is a delusional-indoctrinated moron. He spews mostly nonsense and propaganda and has not a clue of what is really going on. Furthermore, he believes his own clichés that he constantly repeats, regardless of whether there is any truth to them. When you confront him with the reality that what he is saying is horseshit and untrue, he just doubles down on stupid.
The children's petulant response was entirely predictable, because of course the intelligent reader will have noticed at first glance that the butt of this joke is people like You.![]()

You wouldn't know what an intelligent reader is, even if he hit you with a book. Have some nice dog food instead.
I had a meeting with a renowned local Thai businessman today who deals mainly with European customers over the last 30 years and this present situation is hurting real time amongst his European customer base.
Orders down by 60% and unless things change, or are resolved, he sees a potential disaster and he is only a small player in the bigger picture.
