I hope Iceman is wrong but it is not possible to say so. I cant see how the Russian army can be pushed out of Ukraine completly, without supply lines military stores and utilities being damaged and destroyed in Russia itself. If my memory serves me correctly many of the British forces killed or wounded in the Falklands can be traced at least in part by the Brits refusing to destroy more targets in Argentina itself and they were only facing an army whose combat experience was limited to killing unarmed civilians.

Why not? He has been wrong about literally everything he spouts. He bleated on for months that Russia was winning the war. Has been made a fool of countless times in here, the same as Sabang.

Basically, he is butthurt because of it and really only come in here to express that fact and throw his toys around. An utter fuckwit if there ever was one.

The best parts of the Russian army have already been destroyed. The better trained forces it had at the start of the war have mostly been wiped out now, hence the mobilization, which in and of itself is a complete disaster.

Winter is going to decimate the Russians, who are mostly exposed in open trenches with no protection from the elements. On top of that, as soon as the grounds freeze at some point in the next two months, there will be a Ukrainian offensive. The Russians are going to continue to move backwards.

    Military operation in Ukraine

    26 Nov, 04:17

Ukraine begins evacuation of residents from Kherson

People can also be evacuated by buses to Odessa, Nikolayev and Krivoy Rog

    KIEV, November 25. /TASS/.

"Ukraine’s ministry of the reintegration of temporarily occupied territories has announced the beginning of the evacuation of resident from the Kiev-controlled city of Kherson.

"Free evacuation from Kherson has started. Today, a train with the first 100 Kherson residents left Kherson for Khmelnitsky," the ministry wrote on its Facebook (outlawed in Russia as belonging to the Meta corporation, which is recognized as extremist in Russia) account.

According to the ministry, people can also be evacuated by buses to Odessa, Nikolayev and Krivoy Rog.

It was reported earlier on Friday that Ukrainian authorities were evacuating patients from Kherson hospitals to Nikolayev and Odessa.

Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu on November 9 ordered a pullback of troops from the right bank of the Dnieper River in the Kherson Region to its left bank, a move suggested by Commander of Russia’s Integrated Group of Forces in Ukraine Sergey Surovikin, who stressed that the Russian military had successfully repulsed all Ukrainian attacks.

The decision to move the forces back, in his words, was also due to the risk of their isolation, should territories downstream from the Kakhovka hydroelectric power plant be flooded.

Surovikin said that all civilians who wished to leave - more than 115,000 people - had already been evacuated from the right bank"

Funny how TASS fails to mention the reason for their evacuation.

Very nasty. Some of the nights I spent out in those places were some of the coldest nights of my life.

When you add the windchill factor it makes these places (especially the Rhoen/Wildflecken) unforgettable.

    But so does the Kloster-Kreuzberg

The wind is the main reason you get so cold. Unforgettable and miserable if you are sleeping outside.

Whilst I support your stand on this Snubby the Ukrainian's are on the end of a hiding and ultimately beaten by the weather which took the Germans down in WW2.

It's time for the West, NATO, WHOEVER, to stand up for the Ukrainian people and at least make things inhabitable for those that are in the line of fire from the Russians and mother nature.

FFS they have been brave but time to count loses and at least provide liveable conditions for the families and particularly children.

Far north from where I was stationed on the Rhein.
    Adjust your Celle

    The partition was

Brits to the North as the Danes knew few would swoon for unbathed Jocks, Brits etc

The Americans were located next to the Frankfurters for obvious reasons

The Russians in the East so they could not be stopped form looting

The French of course nearest to Elsass / Lothringen so they might pop home for Sauerkraut with proper wines and sauces

Since the "Jerry built" wall came down the west seems to feel they rich enough to DIY though French none to keen on a nuclear Germany.

The Russian plot to gas the Germans seems to have come unstuck

^^^ its the Ukrainians choice LT, its their country and yes if NATO stopped support then Ukraine would find it difficult to continue but that would mean abandoning them to their fate and that won't happen

Don't know what you are talking about here, but it could not be farther from the reality on the ground. Ukraine is very much winning this war, and they have the advantage on the battlefield. The weather is to the Ukrainians advantage, not the other way around. What you got wrong with your assessment there is that the Germans were the attackers, the Ukrainians are defending their own land. As soon as the ground freezes next month or in January, they will launch on offensive. They will be liberating more of their territory.

Me thinks it is beer o'clock at LT's place.

Olaf Scholz is a fucking Putin sympathizer as far as I am concerned. He could have allowed Rhienmetal to send Panzer 2 tanks to Ukraine, but has blocked that. Now he is holding up production of 35mm ammunition in Norway that Ukraine desperately needs for its German supplied Gepard ADA tanks.

Just reported on danish tv news, that 'Ukraine is in acute need of winter equipment' and want us to ship what we can.

    Funny coincidence
