Oh, come on, don't give up so quickly, Chitown!
Now this I agree with, the aim should be to further integration and provide a good dose of 'Western' culture to the little ones. A difficult issue, though, there are private schools, and private religious schools of other denominations, so you can't disallow it for Muslims either. There is nothing to prevent parents from turning their off-spring into pious Christians, or create several years worth of therapy material in the process of attempting to.Originally Posted by Begbie
It boils down to school curricula and how the implementation is monitored, we had a thread on this before.

I believe it's Israel the US is supporting, not the same as "Jews".
one in the same, effectively, no?
No different than China, Taiwan.
Diplomacy is a fickle woman.
Life is easy when you're anonymous.
Saudi is a mess lets not consider it as the representative of Muslims.
You and I know that Afghans can't even find clean drinking water forget the churches. There were and I am sure there will be churches in Afghanistan in near future.
There are hundreds of churches in Iran, if not thousands.
P.S: We towel heads are known for not giving rights/freedom to general masses so lets not talk about us. Lets talk about the Western countries who always claim to give equal rights to its citizens.![]()
I must concede your point. And the Iranian Jewish community, as small as it is, has little to no problems.
We must talk about the M.E. in relation to the western nations and religious freedom.P.S: We towel heads are known for not giving rights/freedom to general masses so lets not talk about us. Lets talk about the Western countries who always claim to give equal rights to its citizens.![]()
Frankly Macha, I don't like the "us."
Your nationality is imortant as well as your cultural and religious heritage of course, but I think because you live in the west and obtain advanced degrees in the west, you are not "them." Nor are we, "us."
You are, "us" (in the west).
And I mean this is a good way.

Regarding churches in Muslim countries - something from Riggers part fo the world:
I can't recall any Christian clergy or rulers being as generous to their Muslim brothers.....As the Catholics grew in numbers and the church in Ruwi became insufficient, His Majesty Sultan Qaboos Bin Said offered a plot of land in Ghala, a short distance from the airport. Under the wise direction of Fr. Barnabas Madii, a foundation stone was laid for the Church dedicated to the Holy Spirit on 27th November 1987 by the Apostolic Nuncio Mgr. Louis Robles Diaz, assisted by Bishop Gremoli. Fr. Barnabas became the first Parish Priest, and due to his initiative, the very fine complex was enriched in 1990. Very soon, H.M. Sultan Qaboos gifted the Holy Spirit Catholic Church with a beautiful Pipe Organ.
I agree entirely, but the OP question is about the "Muslim problem", which clearly includes Macha as a member of the group of this religion.Originally Posted by Milkman
It's not an "us and them" issue, as I said earlier, I've had many Muslim neighbours and acquaintances, and the description and incidences reported don't fit my experiences.
What I do strongly disapprove of, is the practise of arranged marriages, at times involving underage children and women who don't consent. Ive seen examples from people of Turkish, Pakistani and Iranian background.
Some are peaceful. Some are not..............

Children are being taught evil at a young age by these maniacs. If he's doing this at a kid's party there must be dozens of people who know what he is up to, but nobody steps in or says a word.
'Terror camp boss sang to children: 'Hey Mr Taliban, come bomb England'' | the Daily Mail
Terror camp leader Atilla Ahmet sang a "Jihad Calypso" song to a children's party, telling them: "Come Mr Taliban, come and bomb England", a court heard.
Atilla Ahmet, who has alreay pleaded guilty to soliciting murder, sang the words to the tune of The Banana Boat Song.
His next lines were: "Before the daylight come, you wanna see 10 Downing Street done, Hey Mr Taliban, boom, boom, boom. Come bomb England. Allah willing, it will be done."
Children at the Jameah Islamic school, near Crowborough in Sussex, sang along during his performance, which was recorded on tape.
Ahmet, a former preacher at Finsbury Park Mosque, has pleaded guilty to three counts of soliciting murder in connection with a case now being heard at Woolwich Crown Court.
Clockwork, I guess we really can't blame them the people that live in Muslim countries. With the hate propaganda they put out, they are like modern day Nazis. The peope have been brainwashed from childhood...........

The US supports Jews, and also supports Israel.
Both of course, are related, but can be differentiated upon, a little bit.
If they moved, the U.S. would not be "poor."Not correct, if the jews moved there business and there money out of the US, then it would become very poor, very fast, the jews got the US by the balls...
They do contribute a lot to society in many ways, however.
Get to the grass roots of it and dig out the problem that makes people act the way they act. Islamic people that is. Sorry Macha, you know we cant do that. To do that we would have to burn every Quran in print today and then the shit would really fly.
Any idea what I am talking about man?![]()
