If the question were to unite the country and regardless of all other factors, this could only be done through a hard Brexit. No other outcome would satisfy the principle of the referendum.
Soft Brexit, May deal, revoking A50 and Ref2 are not Brexit, so half of the voters would be victims of broken trust and permanently disenfranchised.
No deal would be divisive at first as it is right now, though division is one outcome of all referendums; but in time the remoaners will have no choice but to accept the de facto situation and get on with it.
If later on a gov offers the people another referendum, imv that's from a clean slate and would be fair.
No deal Brexit gives everyone a chance to unite behind whichever party wins power in the GE. Even if it is a labour government or a coalition.
Its just possible that MPs might unite and sort out the fokking mess the country is in. Don’t hold your breath.
No party will have a majority so the only mandate will be to fix a third country WTO deal. Oh and build thousands of affordable homes.
That is most likely true, and why a GE rather than a second referendum is a poor option, imo
It will just tell us what we already know: that the tories are useless and Corbyn has to go because if he can't win under these circumstances then he can't win full stop.
Even a stopped clock is right twice a day.
^ A 'double coup' would be nice. Corbyn and May for the chop...
and here we go, the plan all along by that Maybot remainer
this is a disaster, can't let that happen
Theresa May says no Brexit more likely than no deal
https://www.bbc.com/news/uk-politics-46856149
Prime Minister Theresa May is making a last-ditch attempt to persuade MPs to back her Brexit deal as Tuesday's key Commons vote looms closer.
She will use a speech on Monday to warn that Parliament is more likely to block Brexit than let the UK leave without a deal.
Mrs May will add that trust in politics will suffer "catastrophic harm" if the referendum result is not implemented.
Labour has vowed to table a vote of no confidence if Mrs May loses.
Its leader Jeremy Corbyn said Labour would vote against the deal and would start moves to trigger a general election if it is voted down.
He told the BBC's Andrew Marr show: "We will table a motion of no confidence in the government at a time of our choosing, but it's going to be soon, don't worry about it."
Labour have no popular support, and any MP who voted against the wishes of the constituency is finished.
Failing to leave engineered by MPs who believe they know best, will secure a massive vote for any idiot who can galvanize the offended voters. Most likely another idiot in the Farage mould.
Which one of my stabs in the dark have so far failed to bear fruit?
that's fresh news from this morning, are you already on a full diaper?
^ He's getting all confused again...I posted it this morning.
Einstein was right, the only certain infinity is stupidity and any lingering doubts he may have still harboured would have been instantly dispelled had he clapped eyes on the Brexit mofo spastics so ably represented on this board by messrs. Chas, Bumboy et al.
