It seems Vlad may be settling for what he's already stolen.

Russia Resumes Gas Supply to Ukraine
By THE ASSOCIATED PRESS MOSCOW — Oct 12, 2015, 4:07 AM ET

Russia's gas monopoly Gazprom says it has resumed supplies to Ukraine that will help the country meet its energy needs through the harsh winter months.

Gazprom CEO Alexei Miller said supplies, which were suspended in the spring, recommenced earlier Monday after the company received $234 million in prepayments from Kiev.

The deal, which was signed last month with the help of the European Union, will ensure that Ukraine will receive Russian gas for six months through March 2016.

Past gas disputes between Russia and Ukraine have led to cut-offs of supply. One standoff in 2009 caused serious disruptions in shipments EU countries in the dead of winter.

Russia's annexation of Crimea from Ukraine and its support for separatist rebels in the east soured relations between the two countries.

Gazprom, a Russian Oil and gas company has never shut of gas to people who pay to the agreed contract. Try not paying you gas or water bill in the the UK and you are made homeless.

Or are you suggesting Russia should allow it's customers to stop paying their contracted bills and use the money to slaughter unarmed Ukraine citizens. I know the EU and America continue to loan monies to the illegal Ukraine government as it's considered an "exceptional" case but Greece was raped by the same countries. Sauce for the goose eh?

Some people trade within laws, others trade behind "agreements" too secret to allow it's citizens the sight of. TTp/TPTP for example.

Considering Ukraine was the key transit point for European countries, when he cuts off Ukraine he cuts off Europe as well. Which is what he did in January.

Not so fucking clever now is he?

Not long before Israel, Cyprus and Turkey start shipping huge amounts of LNG into Europe.

And it's probably the reason he wants to keep control of Syria - that pipeline from Qatar and the rest would really fuck him up.

    Exit is naive beyond belief.

The Conservative party has been dismantling the UK Defense capability from the moment they were elected in coalition and still are today. They have crippled the fleet air arm, air defense, air attack, the whole Navy is in the shitter, reduced boots on the ground capability to levels where Argentina might as well take the falklands now because there is nothing we could do about it, and has been systematically signing protocols which means that the UK rely on the FRENCH military for lots of things. All part of the plan for a European Army, which to be successful and dangerous, the UK armed forces must disappear.

Probably around the same time that Moscow starts getting hit by terrorist attacks and people start questioning his actions.

The LORD (Leader of the Russian Democracy) has continued, as per all signed contracts, continued to supply ALL it's customers, via pipelines passing through Ukraine or under the Baltic sea. The only contract that has been amended, as the original one lapsed, is with Ukraine, I even believe that, although they have to pay upfront, prior to delivery because of late payments, the Ukrainians have received the gas at a cheaper rate.

The Russian companies have agreed contracts with a number of companies, including western ones, to increase the volume of available gas to Europe as and when it is required via a new subsea pipeline.

Another "pipedream" Harry. Many plans have been suggested but few have got off the drawing board. Turkey has how much gas to sell harry?

How much is LNG compared to gas via a pipeline harry?

It was reported that Qamoroon was planning to build another 4 SLBM submarines. What for it should be asked, as he cant fire any missiles without the POTUE's (President of the Unexceptional Empire) agreement.

Not a lot yet but it will be a player for sure. Either in getting its share from Aphrodite or being the transit point for gas into Europe from all the way down to Egypt and Israel.

At this point in time, negligible compared to the political risks of relying on an unpredictable dictator.

Putin is far less dangerous than the whack jobs who are waiting to get into the WH in 2016.

I think we are leading to WW3, the war is spreading slowly but surely. How long before a Russian jet hit some American troops or vice versa ?

WW2 started with several Japanese invasion in the region, that is 10 years prior to the official start of WW2 in 1939

Wars have started for less than we are witnessing now.

Haven't been keeping up much have you? Putin has transformed the military, not only in hardware but also in structure and training.

Syria is a testing ground as well as an important foot in the door to the ME. Putin haf plan. He'd love to see oil go up, especially because of sanctions hurting his economy in tandem with a low oil price - a double whammy. Saudi is pumping like crazy to try and kill off US oil as far as possible, killing the price. Check for Putin trying to turn the screws on Saudi to reduce their pumping.

US is losing influence in ME. Putin has his eye on the vacuum.
