    Libertarian Test

For the heck of it, take this test.

For the record, I scored 98 which pretty much bolsters my claim that I’m a big "L” libertarian.

    What's your score?

8 - probably because of my foreign policy answers.

Anyone who answered Yes to anything in Section 3 are definitely wackos and should be put in government controlled detention centers.

31-50 points: Your libertarian credentials are obvious. Doubtlessly you will become more extreme as time goes on.

    Doubtful.

The test has some weird questions though:

    Are zoning laws too strict?
It's unlikely that the citizens of West, Texas would say they are too strict.

Is occupational licensing (for doctors, plumbers, and other professions) too strict?
If my sink sprung a leak because my plumber is unlicensed it's not that big a deal, if my heart sprung a leak because my doctor is unlicensed...

Should all sex between consenting adults be legal -- even for money?
Why tack on the "even for money" bit? The question was about "all sex", what answer is he trying to get with the money proviso?

I looked at the test. It's not actually asking questions so much as providing the opportunity to buzz on the correct buzz-words.

So, yes "zoning laws" exist so they are too strict. I believe in freedom!

Occupational licensing exists as an expression of gubmint power, so yes it's too strict. I believe in freedom.

All sex, for money or not? Of course it should be legal. Making laws about things like sticking your dick into someone's pet goldfish when you have paid for the privilege is ridiculous. Gubmint has no business interfering in my carpophiliac lifestyle. I believe in freedom.

Only halfwits like BM can even begin to think they are expressing a political position with such targeted idiocy.

Unfortunately, he and others like him get to vote.

Angry Birds is a boring game played on digital technology too.

    At least it has pictures.

No code involved. Just the normal kind.

He does essentially the same thing later:
    21. Should marijuana be legalized?
    46. Should all drugs be legalized for adults?

All drugs would include MJ, so question 21 is a pointless dogwhistle for the college student libertarians. Even if he ditched Q 21 it still stupid since he is obviously referring to narcotics, not drugs in general.

Libertarians are obsessed with making everything privately owned commodities. The money bit is the important one, sex only the lead.

I agree with you. The guy could have saved himself a lot of typing by simply having a one line questionnaire:

Should everything and anything be for sale guided by the magical invisible hand of the magical free market?
    [_] Yes
    [_] Of course

does being a libertarian mean purposely evading state taxes in the US and then leeching off thai goverment health care?

and btw, anyone who wants to be a true libertarian should move to somalia. certainly no "big government" problems there. it's a veritable libertarian paradise....yet i don't see too many of these alleged libertarians booking their tickets. why would that be?

maybe because they like driving on safe roads with street lights.

they like being able to call the fire department and the police department in an emergency.

they like for their children to be educated.

they like the medical research that improves their health and prolongs their lives

they like voting in elections (although how many of them have actually voted for a libertarian candidate?)

Depending on the whims of rich individuals vs benefits for all by a government I can contribute to vote out if it doesn't do its job.
