She is perfectly able and qualified to be President. The woman was a two time senator and served as Secretary of State.

A list of her accomplishments as a Senator.

MILITARY / VETERANS / FIRST RESPONDERS

    • As a U.S. Senator, Clinton was a champion for our service members and veterans. Hillary Clinton was the first New Yorker to serve on the Senate Armed Services Committee and made veterans a main focus. She introduced the Heroes at Home Act in 2006 and 2007 to help family members care for those with Traumatic Brain Injury. She also worked to increase the military survivor benefit from $12,000 to $100,000, and cosponsored the Support for Injured Servicemembers Act to extend benefits provided under the Family and Medical Leave Act. Hillary also worked across the aisle to keep the Niagara Falls Air Reserve Station open during a time when the Pentagon was shuttering bases, which saved 800 jobs in upstate New York.

    • Hillary Clinton, as a U.S. Senator, worked with Republicans to expand health care for National Guard members and reservists. According to McClatchy, then-Senator Clinton worked with Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC) to “provide full military health benefits to reservists and National Guard members.” A statement from Graham’s senate office said, “Senators Lindsey Graham (R-SC) and Hillary Rodham Clinton (D-NY) today announced that the Department of Defense Authorization bill conference report finalized today includes an amendment that will improve TRICARE benefits for National Guard members and Reservists, allowing all members of the Selected Reserve and their families to enroll in TRICARE with an across the board cost-sharing of 28 percent. Today’s victory builds on the Senators’ longstanding commitment to ensuring that members of our National Guard and Reserve and their families have access to the health care benefits they need and deserve.”

    • Hillary stepped up for New York in the aftermath of the 9/11 attacks, fighting hard to secure funds for medical assessment, referrals and outreach for 9/11 rescue and recovery workers, and volunteers.

    IMMIGRATION

    • As Senator, Hillary Clinton fought to pass the DREAM Act and comprehensive immigration reform, helping to cultivate awareness of the issues in Congress. She introduced the Legal Immigrant Children’s Health Improvement Act, which would give states the option to provide federally funded Medicaid and SCHIP benefits to low-income legal immigrant children and pregnant women. She also wrote the Access to Employment and English Acquisition Act to meet the growing demand for English language courses and other job skills.

    HEALTH CARE

    • Hillary wrote a law as Senator providing grants to state and local governments to pay for respite care services for family caregivers, which allows expanded funding for temporary breaks for caregivers of sick or disabled people.

    • One of Hillary’s Senate bills to distribute flu vaccines more efficiently inspired provisions of a law promoting the production and stockpiling of vaccines to improve our response to public health emergencies.

    WOMEN & CHILDREN

    • Hillary Clinton worked in the Senate to strengthen the State Children’s Health Insurance Program, introducing multiple bills allowing states to expand the program that she helped create as First Lady. The program, created in 1997, increased health coverage for children in low income and working families. Hillary also co-wrote a law compelling drug companies to conduct safety tests for products prescribed for children, and wrote a component of the No Child Left Behind Act authorizing funding for recruiting and retaining better teachers.

    • Hillary Clinton was a powerful advocate for women in the Senate and was one of the original cosponsors of the Prevention First Act to increase access to family planning. As Senator she was a strong defender of a woman’s right to choose.

And after all this experience she had to ask one of her employees if she could attend a meeting of the state department when she was head of state.

See, you were originally chiding us for not paying attention to the facts that Longway was laying out. And you correctly pointed out that he was indeed correct in claiming that she has a vagina. Now you are veering off and asserting that she is does not have the 'ability' to be President. Now, is that a fact or an opinion? Do you know the difference?

You can believe it or not I really don't care it is quite apparent you are a dyed in the wool Hillary no matter what. Not an email.

One email from the State Department's dump of Hillary Clinton files Tuesday night caught the eye of Twitter.

"I heard on the radio that there is a Cabinet mtg this am. Is there? Can I go? If not, who are we sending?" Clinton, the former of secretary of state, emailed aides Lona Valmoro and Huma Abedin on Monday, June 8, 2009.

Yes, Hillary Clinton found out about a Cabinet meeting on the radio, and appeared to freak out and worry she wasn't invited.

Photos from the White House's Flickr account also appear to show that she's absent from the discussion:

    3648437920_b8f61054c6_bWhite House/Flickr

But as the photos and subsequent emails showed, there was a reason neither she nor someone else from the State Department attended the meeting. The Cabinet gathered to discuss President Barack Obama's stimulus program — the "Roadmap to Recovery."

As Valmoro explained in a reply to Clinton, only agencies that received money to appropriate through the stimulus act were invited.

She told Clinton, however, that the State Department was welcome to send someone if she wished. Clinton said to ask either then-Deputy Secretary of State for Management and Resources Jack Lew (now the Treasury Secretary) or Pat Kennedy, the under secretary of state for management.

Here's the full chain of emails:

Are we sure RPETER isn't just Booners in disguise?

He has the same proclivity for cutting and pasting things that actually undermine the feeble and fantasised points he's trying to argue.

Good point . . . though rpeters hasn't sunk to the depths of y'all yet, though he's from northern California.
rpeters isn't as much of a demagogue and actually has some valid points - not that I agree with many, but he puts more thought into some of his posts than BM . . . I did say 'some'

I don't see sexism in that. She pushes agenda important to women that many men don't see as important.

No, they absolutely are not. Male politicians who thirst for power are held in high esteem. The more powerful they seem, the better people like them.

Take Donald Trump for instance. He has enormous power and seeks more in becoming president. His thirst for winning and power is almost comical it is so obvious.

    snigger

Another thing quite obvious, is Clinton is said to be too old to be president by her detractors. She's a year younger than Trump. Women have an expiry date when seeking office that men don't have. Not sexist?

Don't shoot the messenger. I'm saying this from a woman's viewpoint and women are more than half the voters in the US.
    Not sexist?

Just check out her forthcoming ad and tell me again its not an very sexist campaign.

And Trump is running on making america great again platform, he is inspiring support for thing things he wants to do, his narcissism, must come second to what he what he will do, Shillary wants people to vote for her because she is a woman. vote for me and make me great is her platform.

If trump was a vague and wishy washy as shillary he would not have anywhere near the support he has now, he must take big bold stances and chances, shillary just blows with the wind.

She has nothing in common with most women, she lives in a different world, if you buy into her anyone with a vagina owes me campaign that's up to you. She brings nothing special into the whitehouse and in fact if she was a man she would be just another candidate. actually correction on that if she wasnt a woman she would not even be a candidate.

its pure sexism that she is the leading democratic contender, and I can tell you that as anyone with an ounce of objectivity. dont shoot the messenger.

I've said it before and I will say it again. I am not a Hillary fan. Come March I will vote for Sanders because I favor his policies. However, if it comes between her and Republicans.....

The point I made was Republicans are doing more harm than good to attack Clinton for being a "radical" thirty years ago and for using double standards when comparing her to her male competitors. These things stand out in the minds of women and young people, no matter how much it distresses you to hear this news.

Your opinion of Clinton makes no difference to me.

On further reflection, I have to admit you are partially right. I can imagine my 82-year-old Republican mother stepping in that closed booth and pulling the Clinton lever just to get even. She complained for several years about her younger male coworker getting 1/3 more pay than she for doing the same job and no one doing a thing about it.

which is what Sanders job is - to give democrat flag wavers something to feel good about, and then at the critical time, he throws his support behind the butcher clinton, and all the blue flag wavers follow suit.

Who is exhibiting prejudice or being discriminated against in this ad? Do you understand the meaning of 'sexism'? Appealing to a specific group, in this instance women, in an ad is not sexism. You and your ilk are hopelessly lost in a bubble where truth is non-existent.

I'm all for equality across the board but the ad is crap because it is a direct appeal to support Hillary because she is a woman. I don't care the gender, race, religion or whatever of the president. Frankly most women don't care either. They as I want to hear what a candidate intends to do about domestic and international issues.

No doubt there are gender inequalities but this ad implies a vote for Hillary will eliminate the inequalties. There are all sorts of laws in place that prohibit gender discrimination.

Does anyone really believe Hillary can or will magically fix gender inequality?

Nope, the ad is a blatant attempt to get females to vote for Hillary.

She'll get a vast majority of the female vote anyway and given her likely GOP opponent easily win the presidency.
