Cruz is like Sara Palin in that respect. I say like Sarah Palin in that their strength is not in power, but on the sidelines stoking fires. Yes, Cruz has the ability to put words into coherent sentences, even complete thoughts. But a campaign would wear thin his smug, sanctmonious veneer, and the nature of a campaign would reveal his rhetoric as hollow and his suit as empty. Maybe even to those who have drank the Ted Cruz kool aid.
correction
you teabaggers will be voting for Jeb.
Republican Mitt Romney bowed out of the 2016 U.S. presidential race on Friday after considering a third run, and told supporters it was time for the next generation of party leaders to seek the White House.
Romney's decision will probably boost the fortunes of former Florida Governor Jeb Bush, a probable presidential candidate who, like Romney, is widely viewed as representing the Republican establishment.

Romney's pulled out.
And he was the favourite!

Hillary Clinton's favorable ratings over the past two years: #ReadyForHillary?
12:21 AM - 31 Jan 2015
The Washington Post's recent polling data gave Mrs. Clinton wide leads over several potential Republican opponents, but Democratic firm PPP (which has a spotty reputation) has published some rather different findings:
The automated poll of nearly 900 registered voters, conducted last week by Public Policy Polling, found that 48 percent of respondents had an unfavorable opinion of Clinton, compared to 43 percent who viewed the former secretary of State favorably...While Clinton — the prospective favorite for the Democratic presidential nomination should she enter the race — holds leads over every major GOP candidate tested in the poll, she doesn’t break 50 percent against any, and some are well within striking distance. Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker comes closest, with Clinton leading him by a margin of 45 percent to 42 percent (with 14 percent not sure who they’d vote for) – within the survey’s margin of error of plus or minus 3.3 percent.

Koch Industries is financed largely by Goldman Sachs, and indeed are in JVs with some aspect of their business. As the democrats are mostly funded by Gomans and JP morgan, who in turn finance, support, facilitate the funders of the rigth wing nutters wearing elephant pins, it doesn't matter if the kocks throw 900m at cruz, because it they want shillery, she will get 2b.
And then there's this large elephant in the room the democrats don't want to acknowledge. The shear fact that the Hildebeast is way past her sell-date.
Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) said former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton—a former U.S. Senator from New York, the former First Lady of the United States, and the Democrats’ likely frontrunner and nominee in 2016—is “yesterday’s news."
Rand Paul Calls Hillary Clinton ?Yesterday?s News?
Known that for a while, haven't we. Seen her poll numbers continue to sink.![]()
Hillary Clinton's Libya war push armed Benghazi rebels with suspected al Qaeda ties - Washington Times
War hungry shillery caught out pushing weapons etc to the regime change agents in Libya. Not a surprise of course except to the coolaid drinkers.
Quinnipiac released a poll today and it doesn’t look good for the rethugs,………
FLORIDA: Clinton 44 - Bush 43
OHIO: Clinton 47 - Bush 36
PENNSYLVANIA: Clinton 50 - Christie 39
A first look at three critical swing states, Florida, Ohio and Pennsylvania, for the 2016 presidential election is good news for former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, who tops possible Republican contenders in every matchup, except Florida, where she ties former Gov. Jeb Bush, and Ohio, where she ties Gov. John Kasich, according to a Quinnipiac University Swing State Poll released today.
Overall, Gov. Bush runs best of any Republican listed against Clinton, the independent Quinnipiac (KWIN-uh-pe-ack) University Poll finds. The Swing State Poll focuses on Florida, Ohio and Pennsylvania because since 1960 no candidate has won the presidential race without taking at least two of these three states.
Clinton's favorability rating tops 50 percent in each state, while Republican ratings range from negative to mixed to slightly positive, except for Bush in Florida and Kasich in Ohio.
Of three "Native Son" candidates, measured against Clinton only in their home states, only Ohio Gov. John Kasich gives the Democrat a good run, getting 43 percent to her 44 percent.
Matchups between Clinton and her closest Republican opponent in each state show:
Florida: Clinton at 44 percent to Bush's 43 percent
Ohio: Clinton over Bush 47 - 36 percent
Pennsylvania: Clinton tops New Jersey Gov. Christopher Christie 50 - 39 percent
This poll might be even worse for the teabaggers. They didn’t include Cruz or Walker in the survey.
Maybe this is a reason. Not many know them and if they do, they don’t like them.

Like Brian Williams, Hillary Clinton Lied About Bosnia
Investigative reporter Sharyl Attkisson reminds us the secretary of state who blamed Benghazi on a video once made up a story about courage under fire in Bosnia. Maybe Brian Williams can be her 2016 running mate.
"I remember landing under sniper fire," Clinton said. "There was supposed to be some kind of greeting ceremony at the airport, but instead we just ran with our heads down to get into the vehicles to get to our base."
Her harrowing tale never happened, and Mrs. Clinton's faulty memory also forgot that there was a reporter on the trip who was taking notes and had a video of the event."

Hillary's poll numbers are collapsing
In just the past month, when no one with a real life was thinking about the 2016 presidential race, Hillary Clinton's massive poll lead over every single potential Republican opponent has collapsed.
In a hypothetical match-up, her margin over Jeb Bush, the closest GOP president, was cut in half to eight points this month, 45%-37%, according to Zogby. That's down from a whopping 15-point lead in December. Similarly, the former first lady's 15-point margin over Mitt Romney slid to nine points, 46%-37%.

Probably right...![]()
Er..... she hasn't initiated any "super PACs" at all, that's not her job.
Hillary Rodham Clinton may not yet be ready to announce whether she'll launch a bid for the White House in 2016 just yet, but a growing crowd of political operatives are ready to to get in on the action of her expected candidacy right now.
Along with high-profile outside groups being run by Clinton allies such as Priorities USA Action and Ready for Hillary, there are more than a dozen other Clinton-specific super PACs registered with the Federal Election Commission – including three set up in the past six weeks.
Most have raised paltry sums or have not filed finance reports, but several are pulling in sizable donations and mobilizing supporters in support of -- or opposition to -- her potential presidential bid. Some have launched slick websites and started selling Clinton-themed merchandise, giving them the trappings of other well-established groups.
Their independent activities could contribute to a chaotic political environment for Clinton, who as a candidate would not be able to coordinate with super PACs working on her behalf.

Well I realized that there is no thread on good ole Bernie. He should have one so here it is. The man could possibly save America. He is one of the few independents in office here in America. So without further adieu..
While speaking at the Brookings Institution, Sen. Sanders announced that he would not be attending the speech, “The President Of The United States heads up our foreign policy. The idea that the president wasn’t consulted? That’s wrong….I am not going.”
Sen. Sanders joined a growing list of members of Congress who not be attending the speech. The list of Democrats who will not be attending include Reps. Jim Clyburn, John Lewis, Raúl Grijalva, G.K. Butterfield, and Earl Blumenauer. Bernie Sanders is the first senator to announce that he is boycotting the speech in protest of the way that Boehner and Netanyahu have disrespected the president.
Israeli officials are starting to crack under the backlash. Their first move was to try to blame Speaker of the House John Boehner. After throwing Boehner under the bus didn’t work, Israeli officials are considering changing the format of Netanyahu’s speech to make sure that it does not air on primetime television.
Reuters reported, “As a result, Israeli officials are considering whether Netanyahu should speak to a closed-door session of Congress, rather than in a prime-time TV address, so as to drain some of the intensity from the event, a source said. Another option is for the prime minister to make his speech at the annual meeting of the American Israel Public Affairs Committee in Washington the same week, rather than in Congress.”
The outrage and boycott are causing Netanyahu to consider burying the speech. The Israeli Prime Minister still intends to give the speech, but public pressure may force him to abandon the publicity stunt of addressing a joint session of Congress on national television.
Ten House Democrats and Sen. Sanders have committed to skipping the speech. No one from the White House will be attending the speech, as the conspiracy to pressure and embarrass President Obama is turning into a humiliating defeat for Boehner and Netanyahu.
