Lets not let the thread get off topic..
-Indeed. It will be shit like every other US car, especially when introduced to a section of road where it deviates from a straight line.-pseudolus
-Performance cannot compensate for poor ride and handling which does not blend with the cars overall design.-pseudolus
-Let me try again for you. Chassis and dynamics engineering creates handling. Cars with leaf springs for example only stay on line by over kill of power. It is fake handling.-pseudolus
Lateral G is a fair indicator of handling performance- anything over 1 G is supercar territory:
McClaren MP-4: 1.06 G
Corvette ZR-1: 1.05 G
Aventador: 1.05 G
911 S: 1.04 G
458: 1.01 G
R8: 0.97 G
Note the Vette also has the shortest 60-0 braking distance on the list from the link:

^ Socal - Using power to get around a corner is not the same as dynamic ability. I know you are a bit simple and can not understand that simple reality, but you must try harder.

Where are you getting that figure from?Originally Posted by socal
OP states it as 450hp.
It's underpowered considering the size of the engine. Can't build engines either.
Just can't handle it can you that the Corvette is a shit piece of plastic. Crap handling, poorly built, designed for butch gay people, and bought by idiots. There is a reason their world wide sales shockingly bad.
If you halved the HP of the Vette, it would never stay on the road. Halved the HP in a European car, it will still drive and corner well. Thick fucker you are.
Im the thick fucker ?

The C6 Corvette was (and still is, until the end of the year) available in three states of tune:
Base- 436hp
Z06- 505hp
ZR-1- 638hp
The C7 base will be 450hp- no confirmation yet on the higher-end versions.

Taking prodrives finances out of Dave's Finances is like trying to take a very specific cup of water out of a bath tub full to the brim. Dave is prodrive. When one person owns a company his finances are linked 100% with the finances of that company. As I CLEARLY said Dave did not link it to Prodrive to mitigate it's risks. Sound financial management there.
So who is the fool trying to say Aston is not British? Try saying again it is not British. Try it and prove it. You can't because it is British.
Why is it that American's who are wrong, knit pick and find one little point and try to win their fake argument with that? I would imagine that there are lots of Americans who think the Mona Lisa is shit and to prove the point they look at the path in the back ground and say the road bends unrealistically therefore it is shit. Fools.

This is a better judge. One Track. One car from the shelf unaltered. Driven by one man. Sorry that you believe the hype and BS from GM, but they do take complete teams and rebuild the cars specifically for events such as this..... and then use it as PR. I know you think that if you change font and post something a thousand times it will be accepted by truth (Hitler thought the same) but it's not. It's a PR stunt.

You realize that the ZR-1 ran on a wet track, and still managed to finish ahead of several Ferraris and Porsches, and less than a second behind several others, don't you?
Would you honestly claim that wet times and dry times are comparable?
In that track DAMP is classed as 2 seconds.
So, either its handling is so bad that damp meant 4 seconds for it, or it is not the best quickest car in the world.
For the money, it is fast, but there again, it will fall apart, be recalled endlessly, because it is made of cheap plastic components.
Here's the Stig running the ZR-1 in better conditions- it doesn't get sideways or smoke its way through any corners:
And the majority of owners are as good a driver as Stig?
Even he was fighting it in every corner...you didn't watch it, did you...
You and me could easily get into the majority of european built sports cars and drive them well. Most average joes would kill themselves in a Vette. Because they have crap dynamics. And when they crash, they are death traps.
No, I didn't spend the 90 seconds it took to watch the video, and I just fabricated the comments I made about it (dumb luck on my part they turned out to be correct)...
Find a video of another car running the track (driven by the Stig) that you would use as an example.
You keep making claims you can't back up.
Are we watching the same vid, the tail stepped out on the very first corner.Originally Posted by FailSafe

Yes, I think we're watching the same video.
It never gets sideways or goes up in smoke like when Clarkson drove the Z06- I'm not arguing that it's not a handful, but if it really handled as poorly as some people claim, it would NEVER be able to hang with or beat other supercars no matter how much power it has.
If you want to use 2 seconds for a damp track, then how did it beat the 670hp Murcielago when the Vette gave up over 30hp?
The Stig - Audi R8 Power Lap by blackGTR - Car Videos on StreetFire
Damp track ( A lot wetter than the Vette by the way). Watch stig in the cockpit - not fighting at all.
The Vette got round because of the driver.
(By the way, the video you used is from the Forza Top Gear game on X Box....)
