agreed. I will more & likely show the original & the end product when I get around to posting my entries. I mainly do cropping & adjusting the levels, like I've mentioned I like to crush the shadows & open up the highlights.
damn, I can produce the negative.
I'm moving tomorrow & I have so many negatives it's not even funny. The scary thing is we're talking about pictures taken since March, so in 5 months I've taken roughly a million film pictures (give or take a few 100,000).
I need to go back to digital, that Rebel dSLR is looking really good right now.

hah, that will show you
a million digital pics will fit on a smallish drive, no problem

My first entry is taken at the Por Tek thung Foundation temple in Chinatown sometime earlier this year. I always meant to do a thread of those pics as I was rather pleased with them. Glad I didn't now. I set a tripod up and took a lot of pics of people adding insense sticks to these large brass pot. This was the best one.
Canon 30D - EF 24 - 105 4L IS USM - 1/6th at f4 - ISO 100
The second is of one of my children rising up out of the water whilst on holiday in Hoi An, Vietnam last week.
Canon 30D - EF 100 - 400 1:4.5 - 5.6 L IS - 1/2000th at f8 - ISO 400
Lastly is a photgraph taken in a market in Saigon last Saturday. The site of these frogs sitting on a metal plate surrounded by faceless skinned frogs that were still bouncing around was captivating. There was no doubt these frogs were terrified.
Canon 30D - EF 100 - 400 1:4.5 - 5.6 L IS - 1/200th at f6.3 - ISO 100
Ahh, nice pics.
Shame you didn't read about the 'no added borders' rule.

Borders or no borders, excellent shots.

Great frog pic Bob! Posted a pic of one getting devoured by young Wayne Jnr in the extremely fascinating rug rats thread - https://teakdoor.com/the-teakdoor-lou...tml#post707114
Not worthy of the photo comp and all that![]()
Wonderful shots, Bob. Love the composition and colour capture in the second pic.

Great effort Bobcock. All three are potential winners.
those first 2 shots are excellent bobcock, especially the kid in the water one.
don't like the frames though.
My first entry taken early this year when I visited a customer in south Asia.
Camera Nikon D80, Lens 18-200mm f/3.5 IF-ED AF-S VR DX, ISO 100.

Nice subject, but what have you done to the outside?
it's darker.
Sort of frame to match it with Bob's piccies.![]()
think it would be nicer without.
Second entry
