look at a picture like this and realize that as awesome as the pic is, it's not really a space station so much as a high flying craft...

So in your mind/opinion where does 'space' begin?
It seems to be out of reach of the earths gravitional pull (correct me if I'm wrong)
It's certainly outside the atmosphere.
