Embassys are not actually foreign territory. The convention is that local authorities are allowed to enter only with the ambassador's permission.

The uk has a law (1987) that allows them to revoke an embassy's status. I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of other countries have a similar law.

The question though is would the uk use it?
