Hope not the immigration authorities in Thailand shut the gate.
BTW I see that there is vaccination available. Tamiflu and Relenza. Will bring some with me.

    Mai bpen rai.

The 1918 outbreak only killed 25,000,000 within the first 6 months.

Mind you, that was when it took 3 weeks to travel between Europe and America via ship.

Yes, a lot of people do do that

but we are talking about a Flu here, and that is spread by air into your respiratory organs (you better not catch it BG). That is why they are handing out masks in Mexico and banning big meetings etc

so, to prevent flu, the basics are "don't breathe" or wear a mask. Washing your hands is good too, as you can get some virus from an infected person, then touch your eyes, nose, mouth etc to spread it

    How is flu spread?

A virus that infects the nose, throat, and lungs causes flu. Just like a cold virus, flu is usually spread from one person to the next when the infected person coughs or sneezes. The invincible flu virus is passed from the lungs, throat, or nose of one person through the air to the next unsuspecting person. In addition, when people touch a surface -- or person -- that's contaminated with flu germs and then touch their eyes, nose, or mouth, they infect themselves with the flu virus.
    believe me?

Yes all this hand washing is a load of BS, I swear the soap and pharma companies push it... wash your hands and touch the door on the way out and you've got germs on your hands again , now rub your eyes, mouth or stick that finger up the nose-
(or yer butt if you're Black- Water- Wanna- Be ...)
like I see Thais doing regularly and you've just deposited those germs into a nice warm wet petri dish perfect for nurturing a virus or bacterium .
Do NOT TOUCH YOUR EYES NOSE OR MOUTH ! and you can walk around with as filthy as hands as you please

Now here's a cure for virus and I've used this through out my life..
First sign of a sore throat or sniffle, and the sooner you do this , the better- take a mega dose of zinc , about 150 -200 mg and do this on food in the stomach or else you'll get a stomach ache

DO NOT use the chelated kind- it needs to get absorbed in the stomach, not the intestine . Do this every 4-5 hours for 3-4 doses and then no more.. it will knock the virus right out, hardens the shell so it can't replicate..

Look at any cold remedy and zinc will be on the top of list of ingredients, only the remedies PURPOSEFULLY don't provide enough zinc, essentially making the virus stronger , ( like an incomplete course of antibiotics does for a bacterial infection,)
making you sicker thus spending more money on said remedies.

Yes it is a "Conspiracy"- to make you spend more money.

WORRIED about swine flu? There is one easy way to protect against infection, health experts agree - handwashing.
    Yup.

Back to good ol' handwashing. Woth soap and hot water, I presume.

Amazing how many bad things are prevented by washing hands properly, and at the appropriate times.

Seems like a lot of these deadly illnesses are linked to meat eating, cows and BSE, chicken and bird flu and now Mr Pig flu.Never heard of carrot flu or rice fever!

^Is that an anti-viral? I reckon this has the potential too become pretty bad. If this gets out of hand there won't be near enough room in the hospitals. Been reading a message board for Mexican Dr's and they claim the number of dead is much higher than has been reported by the authorities. Many Dr's, out of fear of becoming infected themselves, are quitting their jobs or taking extended leave of absence and vacation.

A medical emergency has been declared in the US today for the swine flu epidemic... This is based on 20 confirmed cases in the US and the spreading of the contagion in Mexico...

    Pretty wide spread ain't it.
What they gonna do, only thing they can do really is ban all tourist entry's into your country foe awhile until it is sorted, would not be a hardship of a great actuality, but Thai would never go along with that as they want money and do not believe that diseases can be passed from one to another, remember the condom issued at the airport and then nothing?

Well if it ever gets to DPRK the world is in trouble, cause Kim Jong will threaten to nuke Japan and the USA for sure and he might be able to do both.
