Can't you see that both issues are different sides of the same coin?

There isn't a nation in the world where this is not the case. The UK did just this recently. What about "poor what's his name" convicted of being a terrorist supporter?
But Norton, you miss the main point. The UK did not extradite him from anywhere. He was in the UK, plotted in the UK and was plotting against the UK. Rightly he was charged, tried, convicted and is being punished in the UK.

This whole matter (and the hypothetical example) is about the inherant injustice of irrational extradition.

Well, he won't fry . . . if the prosecution were to seek the death penalty then the UK would NOT extradite him. No European country would.

As for US citizens not going to Cuba . . . I met a few when I was there . . . US companies are not allowed to invest in Cuba. . . the travel crap has been ignored of late.

As for the US-Cuba spat . . . again the US is on its own in this ridiculous charade based on the votes of a rabble in Florida.

Correct, but typical US gung-ho wishful thinking.

But it didn't stop the US from downing the travel website, did it?

I'll grant there is some of that but your taking that out on the wrong people, you need to address your concerns to Osama, most of the current issues are his idea...

Isn't a sovereign nation determined to create an environment that reflects it's citizenry a noble idea?

Have a look at history. Current and ancient, at those that have relinquished it...

The good side of this is he will be forced to move out of his mom's home. The bad side is that he will be moving into a place (prison) where there are only two types of people; the meat eaters and the meat. You have to decide what type you are, but honestly speaking this guy has been thrown to the lions. When he returns home he won't be sitting down for a while.

I agree with Norton, this guy has too much skill and ability to be rotting away in jail. The US will surely have a better use for him.
