It might make China regret rejoining the world community... and then realizing there's no alternative anymore so some sort of concession to the Tibetans, however small, could be unavoidable. This could then set a good precedent that could eventually lead to further changes in China (which are also inevitable anyway). So if this is the event that could change Chinese history for the better, so be it.

Shoot the protesters on sight. They're making fools of themselves.

Nobody gave a shit about Tibet until six months ago. Now everybody's on the fcuking hate-China bandwagon. Damn poovie pussies just wanna yell about something. Don't matter much what -- just wanna be mad about something.

Shoot 'em in the face with a can of mace. Then they'll have something to be mad about.

You wanna protest, go to WalMart and buy some posterboard and write something really clever. You want to break laws and assault people you don't even know ... BANG BANG!

Ha! Most of these ignorant ****s couldn't even find Tibet on a map. But "We're standing with the FREE and PROUD people of Tibet!"

SMASH goes the baton across the forehead of the righteous and crusading frog. Splat goes the blood on the pavement beneath the Arc. Now that's art.

Thanks for sharing that shitman. Best laugh I have had for ages. I wonder what idiot in Downing street thought that this would make England look big and important again, not to mention a leader in planning and crowd control.

Actually Tex, people did care before the Olympics, just because you never gave it a second thought don't assume everyone else doesnt care.

It's the media that didn't care, the Olympics has now given the people protesting for a free Tibet the opportunity to get their message across to people around the world, as the media IS interested in the games and the protesters follow the torch.

Running for Hitler. Why do all the evil people come up with the best ideas?

    Who created the torch run?

The Nazis. or so says the BBC...

    Just enjoy the Olympics.

Move to the sides you fools! You don't want this girl to spoil your lunch dates, do you?

The free Tibet movement has going since 1987 in the UK Tex, and theres also been quite a few documentaries on the subject well before this all started.
Seems youve got some real issues here lately.

Conceded, I do have an issue with people disregarding public law, assaulting their own own countrymen for carrying the Olympic torch through their cities and acting like complete prats to make a statement.

I have no problem with protests. Stand on the side of the street and wave your fcuking flags -- display your banners, shout your slogans and vent your spleen.
But step into the street and you've violated the rules. Discipline is in order. Why do these pathetic people think that because the TV cameras are rolling, it's their 15 seconds of fame and they're willing to break laws or go to jail for a cause they read about in a magazine last month? Six months ago it was Myanmar. Next month it'll be Zimbabwe.

Let these guys run their poxy little race through the city and they'll be gone. If you want to enact change do something worthwhile and petition your elected officials. Send money to Tibet. Take in a Tibetan refugee. Organize a grassroots campaign to increase awareness.

Run into the street to tackle an Olympic torch bearer, like a complete assh*le, and you deserve to have your head kicked in.
