Brian Johnson would have been a good choice if not for DMAX. Think he's and interesting bloke.
Ex-Top Gear star Jeremy Clarkson to host new car show on Amazon with Richard Hammond, James May
Former Top Gear host Jeremy Clarkson has signed a deal with Amazon to present a new motoring show alongside his former co-presenters Richard Hammond and James May.
Clarkson was fired from the BBC for physically attacking a member of Top Gear's production staff in March.
Despite being shocked at the broadcaster's decision not to renew his contract, Clarkson had said he was confident he would do another car show eventually.
Amazon said the new show, to be overseen by the trio's long-time executive producer Andy Wilman, will be available on its subscription streaming service Amazon Prime next year and will run for three seasons.
It gave no further details of the as-yet unnamed show.
Clarkson, 55, was replaced as lead presenter of the globally popular Top Gear show — aired in more than 200 countries and watched by 350 million viewers worldwide — by television presenter and DJ Chris Evans.
Clarkson had generated both controversy and profits for Britain's publicly-funded broadcaster, and had been on a final warning over accusations last year he had used racist language while filming the show.
Last October, the show sparked a diplomatic incident between Britain and Argentina, which went to war in 1982 over the Falkland Islands.
A Top Gear television crew was forced to flee Argentina after driving a Porsche 928 GT with the registration number H982 FKL, which some people suggested could have referred to the Falklands conflict.

Amazon allows more creativity , and let's see if the ever vigal BRITISH media watch it to look for offensive words, such as "slope" to get screaming headlines.
I can't see it being quite as much fun really. In retrospect a lot of the entertainment factor was in knowing that it was a BBC flagship and cash-cow which the politically correct BBC bosses could barely stand being associated with.
I can't see anybody watching it. Lots of choice these days and Amazon are only bit players at present.Originally Posted by Looper
A television producer who was punched by former Top Gear presenter Jeremy Clarkson is suing him and the BBC for racial discrimination, the British broadcaster has reported.
Clarkson and BBC representatives attended a hearing on Friday at a London employment tribunal with the producer, Oisin Tymon, which centred on alleged verbal abuse, it said.
Britain's Daily Mirror newspaper reported at the time that the row was over a missing meal and that Clarkson had called Mr Tymon a "lazy, Irish" expletive.
The BBC's press office said in a statement on Friday: "We will be responding to this claim but will not be commenting further at this time".
Clarkson was dropped from Top Gear — the high-profile BBC motoring show which has millions of fans worldwide — after hitting Mr Tymon in March.
In July, it was announced that he, plus co-stars James May and Richard Hammond, had signed a deal with streaming service Amazon Prime to make a new series about cars.
Clarkson, 55, had reported himself to BBC management after he admitted giving Mr Tymon a bleeding lip for which the producer sought hospital treatment.
The presenter, known for his laddish banter and love of practical jokes, had repeatedly landed in hot water with the BBC before the incident.
Last year, the team fled Argentina after residents hurled stones at a Porsche driven by Clarkson whose licence plates appeared to refer to the Falklands War.

Normally I detest people going after others for compo for this kinda thing .
If you have a dust up at work where I come from , thats it end of .
A few years ago now when I worked in the east end of London , lets just say another driver + myself had differences of opinions , which we sorted on a night out away from our depot . I went a bit over the top , I was marked but he was a mess , thought to myself thats it game over I am sacked tomorrow when he gets back and the manager sees that.
I need not have worried , he was there waiting for me when I pulled in the yard
" Its all ok Nige , sorted I told him I slipped between the decks of the lorry "
BTW the manager knew he was talking bollox , but he also knew it was going nowhere
I said Jeff your a diamond , shook his hand and we was mates from then on .
As for this jumped up Tory wanker Clarkson I hope he gets took to the cleaners BIG time
I'm proud of my 38" waist , also proud I have never done drugs![]()
Clarkson is a detestable prick who thinks he is god. The bullying bastard is so arrogant he thought it was acceptable to punch one of his staff in the face. Lets hope the guy sues the ass of him.
The BBC can't be sued, they sacked Clarkson over his behaviour - what more could they do?
Clarkson is a wanker (a useless English cnut), but the bloke bringing the case is too (&, to be fair, he probably was a lazy Irish cnut!).
Pair of wankers...
Clarkson is a trumped up arrogant wanker...(but he's a funny wanker)...
That show will never be the same without him.
I thought that 'incident' was done and dusted like? I mean, didn't he publicly apologize and settle the matter with the other bloke?
Hey, I thought all was forgiven no? bit late in the game to be hunting for money now innit?

Not quite, but close. Wales is to England what Thailand is to Isaan.Originally Posted by Seekingasylum

Ah, I see . . . perhaps I was too quick to condemn Slackula to read the 'fine' print regarding the Irish.
Now the whole racism thing makes sense - I mean, after all . . . Irish
