Of course you are right Thormatuge, but really if they kept to the left here in Thailand when driving instead of hogging the outside lane at the breathtaking speed of 40KMH there would be no need to break the law by passing on the inside lane would there?

I should Imagine that would be somewhat difficult if you spot the boards when you are driving down the M1

Nothing wrong with cycles at all ,I never ever said there was , the problem is many cyclists have no idea what constitutes safe riding etiquette ,as many have no formal training ,and almost 20% of cyclists killed on the UK roads are under 15 , the link in my post #61 from London transport says it all , they strongly advised that cyclists do not do exatly what the cyclists was doing in my video in my post # 51 and BTW I had been living in Thailand for almost 7 years when Boris got voted into power and any way I used to live over 300 miles away from London so was not eligible to vote for any one .

Of course its all the fault of those insane HGV drivers and irresponsible car drivers why so many cyclists in inner london are killed and injured every year ,and after watching this video of cyclists in London any one who believes this to be true, may I suggest you go get urgent medical help

^I had a friend in the UK who used to work as a dispatch bicycle rider in London for a few years. He had a lot of injuries and a few dead colleagues. Crazy job.

Only a lunatic would pass when going straight ahead on the inside of an HGV when its signalling its turning left ! how about a campaign to make cyclists be more aware of HGV's
That is a good example of how cyclist filter through the traffic.

As in case the diver is aware and duly gives way like the says he should.
Hey Dave may I suggest you watch the video in my post#84 and just watch how these maniacs "filter" through traffic ,and of course your remarks would be appreciated , truly suicidal

Push bikes and cars don't mix, indeed. That's why you have to leave the cities. 2050 at the latest, your time is up.

I never said that many drivers are not stupid I thought that was a given ,however the Cyclists in the video in my post#84 have got to be brain dead , and whether cars are banned in the inner city,s or not it will not make any difference to their mental capacity , have you never seen multiple pile ups between cyclists which happens all too frequent in cycling events with no car involved ?

I didn't see the cyclists do anything wrong. One lorry had to wait for 5 of them to go straight on...so what? They could have lined-up in front of the lorry instead like the Thais. Nothing "brain dead" about getting to the front of the queue....

I said the riders in post 84 were brain dead ,I will say it again POST 84 and the video you watched (post #51) the riders did everything that the London transport authority advised them not to do by way of safety ,simply because they passed on the inside when they had no way of knowing when the lights was going to change to green with the truck indicating it was going to turn left , its all here in this link , mind you what would the London transport Authority know when confronted with the TD cycling safety experts Cycling near lorries | Cycling | Transport for London

They are just the same in Manchester , were I have seen many times a pedestrian walking on the pavement having to jump out of the way to avoid being flattentend , what really amazes me if anyone was to attempt the same insane riding on a little 100cc scooter they would be heavily fined, and should they persist lose their licence and find it impossible to get insurance cover ,is it any wonder why so many cyclists are killed and badly injured on UK's roads, when it would appear that they are somehow "above" the law.

Don't need any more proof than this!

Lessons in spelling ‘have no place in 21st century schools’

Schools should stop providing lessons in spelling and grammar because children can correct linguistic errors on their mobile phones, according to a leading academic.

Sugata Mitra, professor of educational technology at Newcastle University, said good spelling and grammar was necessary “maybe a hundred years ago” but “not right now”.

    UNEDITED VERSION HERE, TELEGRAPH

Gee whiz, what happens when the battery in their 'mobile device' runs out? Their brains 'run out' too!

I remember the first time I ever saw one of those touch screen cash registers in a fast food place - could have been McDonald's or Wendy's and these people operating them totally lost to make change w/out them.

My post # 51 so you do not get confused , So in essence what you are actually saying is you think its quite OK for the cyclists to pass on the inside to get to the front when the truck driver is stopped at the traffic lights with his left hand indicator on ,when the cyclists have absolutely no idea when the lights are going to change to green and the truck driver is going to turn left! , lets be quite clear on this is it your opinion that the cyclist's are not unbelievably stupid and taking a grave risk to their physical well being as well as completely ignoring the cyclists safety advice laid down by the London transport authority, and in closing just what part of the cyclists safety advice do you disagree with ?

    Yep! That's what I'm saying.

Although, to be safe from the devils in cars and trucks, a separate cycle path adjacent to the pedestrian path and not on the road at all would be the safest....
