plus the advertiser competition ranking is different, all of this indicates that google considers the terms are unique. (as they should be)

i don't doubt you dirty dog. i am posting from australia so i think 'local' column refers to monthly total for the posters region.

yes, i do think its strange that the numbers are basically a dead match. not sure why its like this. maybe they round numbers and it's a coincidence.

Thats true, but a Thailand Expat can contribute a lot more to this forum than say someone who comes to thailand for 3 weeks per year, so value wise for threads etc an expat member can contribute a hell of a lot more to a forum.

why don't you have your keywords set at "Thai Forum" instead of "Thailand Forum" ? same global search numbers and less competition ... = better ranking.

I think you can get a top 4 result ranking with this.

Its too low a search term to worry about, also I think you will find for that term google is considering thai and thailand as the same thing, there used to be quite a difference between the figures.

I found the forum/thread layout confusing when I first joined.

Quickly grew used to it though, wouldn't change much of anything now if it were up to me.
