RDN, so you are going to a post via a link from gmail.

I don't do it that way. I log in and then hit new posts.

Remember you were trying to help me with my Gmail problem because I couldn't login to Gmail Java and then after a month it suddenly started working again. That was because of a Gmail update.

Honest, gov! Whenever I found I'd been logged out and couldn't reply, I always checked the "Remember me" box. Then it would say "You have successfully logged in as RDN" and then it would ask me to log in again!!

Can't find any cp setting about it. But, as I said, it's all right now.

Heh, heh. Isn't there a 150 post limit somewhere else. Trolling forum? Can't wait to get there...

I don't think it was anything to do with Gmail, mate. After I click on the link in the email, it causes FF to run and go straight to the post in the email, e.g. this one:

    "This thread is located at:
    https://teakdoor.com/troubleshooting-...-new-post.html

Here is the message that has just been posted:"

So FF would show me the post and I would be logged in - so the cookies were working. But then, after I click on "Quote", I would get the message that I couldn't reply because I wasn't logged in!

But, it's all working now, so I think maybe my Firefox configuration got it's knickers in a twist and has sorted itself out now. I hope it's permanent.
