That is correct. About 3 months for the antibodies test to show positive. However transmission risk on a per event basis is low anyway (especially female to male) so combining the improbability that the girl has been infected within the previous few weeks with the single event transmission improbablity * the number of times you plan to knob her can give an acceptable risk (high impact*low probability) depending on your point of view and condom aversion preference.
