Thread: Beds for sex? Mirror above the bed?

No, this is not related to my previous 'strange man in the darkness' thread.

This is a serious question.

I'm getting reasonably near to completing my mini-resort by Phuket Airport, (well, I'm at the stage where bedroom fixtures & fittings need to be decided).

From previous experience of hotel customers, I found that quite a few were on their honeymoon, (imagine spending the first night of your wedding in an airport hotel...), most were couples, and then there were the odd (or very odd) one-nighters with a 'friend' from the beach-bar.

Many of these guests will have had sex in my hotel bed, (no, don't laugh - it happens). Was that an enjoyable experience? Or did the bed creak or did a mattress spring puncture your back?

I'm amazed that hotel surveys of customer satisfaction never seems to include a question about 'was the bed OK for sex and did the general room decore and facilities make that an enjoyable experience?"

Surely, when designing a hotel bedroom, one should consider the needs of the guest's night-time activities as well. After all, many couples visit Thailand for a romantic getaway, and part of that should include enjoying sex in the hotel bedroom.

Anyway, back to my OP question. What's the best type of bed and mattress to have sex on? (I recall a rather large gentleman actually fell through the bottom of the bed frame at my previous hotel when 'indulging'). Another Dutch couple actually opened the bedroom door and curtains so that other customers could watch them - for over an hour hammering away at each other, (I was driving my car back from Rawaii at the time, but could not drive back fast enough to witness this spectacle...)

Is a mirror above the bed considered just too kinky, or would it be appreciated by my horny guests?

Any other suggestions for ensuring that my guests get total satisfaction?

Mirrors are good but looks awfully cheesy on the ceiling. A nice full length mirror that can be moved around the room is the best.

A mirrored room is probably considered a bit sleazy, but it is enjoyable! I wouldnt put one in if you're aiming upmarket/boutique, the only places I've seen them personally is in ST rooms so it'd probably cheapen the look of the place IMO.

As for the bed, just dont make a tiled concrete plinth thing and put a mattress on it like I've seen in some Thai style places, they're a bastard for smashing your shins in when your banging away!

There's a full-length mirror in my room-plans. Perhaps I should make sure that it's viewable from the bed??

This is not a fetish hotel I'd rather decorate the room for romance, as opposed to flagalation

Of course not. I've never been in a hotel with mirrors. Or jacuzzi. Or vibrating mattress. None of that sleazy stuff for me. My friend told me about it.

The last thing hotel guests want to think about is the previous guests in that room shagging in the bed they're in. A mirrored ceiling will spook a lot of people and make them start thinking of what kind of sleaze hole they are staying in.

A wardrobe with full length mirror by the side of the bed will suffice for the Reverse Cowgirl.

I'd be paranoid of a mirrored ceiling in any Thai hotel, I mean, who installed it? A couple of half drunk 'workmen' ?

What if it comes crashing down due to a couple in the room above humping? You wouldn't stand a chance.

Rather than mirrors on the ceiling, I think a classier more refined touch would be to fit 6 Plasma screens in each room and then you can continuously play the legendary extreme anal gap 1-6 in each room for the pleasure of your guests.
