    Breakast

    Morning tea - often substantial

    lunch

    afternoon tea - around 3-4

    dinner - substantial, around 6.30 -7

supper - a light snack before bed.

Christ, no wonder I'm over weight.

Lunch/dinner is the same thing for US country folks. Usually about mid-day.

Supper is always an evening meal.

You can have your dinner anytime after midday, but tea is always in the evening.

The Mexicans got the mealtime thing dialed in.
    Desayuno, a light breaky.
Almuerzo, a hearty mid morning breaky.
Comida, mid afternoon multi course meal followed by a siesta.
Cena, light evening meal like a taco or two.

When it comes to food the world should just ignore the repulsive British notions of meals.

A lot like Italy, and most med countries. Ahh the siesta. A splendid way of life.

Breakfast, brunch, lunch, tea, dinner then supper.

    ...and a midnight snack.

I seem to recall my mother having something she described as "elevenses" in late morning, comprising tea and biscuits.
