    The Billion Dollar House

The most expensive house in the world and the first to be worth $1 billion.
It's in Mumbai, it was built by Mukesh Ambani the 4th richest man in the world.
Known as 'a deeply private man', he's got 1 wife and three kids, and the house has got 27 floors, 3 heli pads, multi level car parking for 160 cars and 600 staff..

the property is thought to have cost an estimated £44m to build, and because of Mumbai’s massive land and property prices, is worth at least £630m,
The Most Expensive House in the World Completed - $1 Billion Antilia Building (Mumbai)

    Shit isn't it..?
Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming "Wow! What a Ride!"

That sounds too bloody cheap for that? I know it doesnt include the land price, but still seems far too low.

Yep, which has the added benefit of not being surrounded by millions of Indians living in tin shacks.

Totally shagtastic mate and I bet the Iron Man throws some top parties.

I think the $1 billion house is a dogs dinner.. it just looks tacky, like a 60's housing project, I get the feeling that it isn't going to age gracefully.

Child labour on a dollar a day probably helped keep the cost down for him

is that the same India that Britain gives aid to every year,

''15 Feb 2011 – Ministers have defended handing around £280million a year in taxpayers' cash to one of the world's biggest economies.''

nice to see the equivalent of 4 years worth of aid being well spent

Yeah, I'd just flown back from Zurich, next time I'm over I'll pop round with a big bag of chop and a crate of Bolly and blow your back doors off if you like.

I don't drink bolly. Don't live in Zurich and have no doors.

Big bag of chop - dunno. What is that? Some sort of pork sausages? Yummy. English sausages finally on the Swiss Riviera. You may have a lot of people interested.
