Thread: Stickman's Reader's Submission Evaluation

A few months ago someone I know had written an article that was published in Stickman's Reader's Submission. It was the usual story of the bad girl done me wrong kind of thread.

Since I had never paid much attention to Stickman's site to begin with, I thought it was worth a look. Not a bad site really but the majority of the 6,600 and counting Reader's Submissions are a waste of time.

It is usually the same scene seemingly 90% of the time. Meet girl in bar or online and then she does me bad type of story is the usual submission.

I hope these are not typical of the kind of many 'farangs' visting Thailand; but I think not.

Most of these guys are boneheads!

Then Stickman waffles in with his opinion depending upon the month and year.

Overall, a waste of time. Teakdoor does better.

I vaguely remember looking at it a while ago and thinking it just seemed like a long-winded version of Thaivisa; sometimes strict moderation isn't such a bad thing.

Some of the readers submissions i like best are the Hans Meier (sp) ones, his travelog stuff is interesting, and features India and Africa as well as Thailand. A lot of the Thailand stories are as you say bar girl did me wrong shtick (pun intended), and finding a good story or report is quite hard.

I only read his weekly column, all them bar girl stories sound the same

Seems like the submissions are there to lead mugs into his bar girl investigations

Try Cheap Charlies, or The Londoner on Wednesday nights, there are loads, you just have to look for the Ladies Nights at most bars
