    What you doing Xmas day?

Well I have my day planned out, as it is Saturday college is closed so I shall be taking my son down to the land and sorting out the pond problem, although I have to admit I don't know whether this will work.

So the pond is 10 meters wide and about 50 meters long, I stuck 2 water cabbage plants in it and for the first couple of months nothing happened, then a month later the pond was completely covered in the stuff, now this is going to be used for the compost heap, although I haven't built one yet and nor will I for using that amount of stuff, it would be way too big, so I got a plan

20 meters of Nylon rope about 1.5cm thick, one of us at each end of the pond with rope in hand, drop the rope in and keeping it a bit tight start walking to the other end of the pond, then drag as much out into pile on the bank with those Thai shovel things and put it into piles to rot, if I have some old sacking I shall cover the piles with that and use stones to keep the sacking on, probably would have been better to do this in the rainy season but I need loads of compost anyway so this can be a monthly thing I suppose, if it works.

So what are you doing Christmas day?

Playing golf at 9am followed by a couple of beers in the afternoon with a few pals and then an evening garden party at my place with a few of my very nice Issan neighbours.

The xmas lights are up on the garden tree and out of generosity i have recently been offering a guided tour of all things western to small children for the extremely small fee of 10 baht.

just a white flight area , before we are pushed into the sea
    but has it advantages,
eg gays making up only 0.0001 % of the population
    beats Jomtiens sickly 50%

Blue, this may come as a suprise to you, but in my 10 years plus of living in Jomtien I have never been anally raped, for some reason gays like other gays, so that dis includes ladymen and normal blokes, maybe you was just unlucky

Sorry but I was right in my post- Phuket Taxis are indeed a rip off but I always use the resident one at my mates bar .
'On the street' Taxis charge 350 - 400 baht from town to Chalong/Rawai
He has never asked for more than 150 !!
Have been taken home when a trifle unsteady by him for about 9 years and always used him to pick up clients at the airport when I was working .

    Can't complain at that !!

For that sort of run might need 2, so 10baht each, ie north pattaya to south Pattaya is 10baht, then South Pattaya to Jomtien another 10baht.

    Sorry, no reply.

On a survey boat off the northern coast of Norway plugging away at data for a 12 hour shift... baa humbug...

Turkey and all the trimmings will be served up in the galley with a choice of non-alcoholic beer or red wine to wash it down with....
