Well I have my day planned out, as it is Saturday college is closed so I shall be taking my son down to the land and sorting out the pond problem, although I have to admit I don't know whether this will work.
So the pond is 10 meters wide and about 50 meters long, I stuck 2 water cabbage plants in it and for the first couple of months nothing happened, then a month later the pond was completely covered in the stuff, now this is going to be used for the compost heap, although I haven't built one yet and nor will I for using that amount of stuff, it would be way too big, so I got a plan
20 meters of Nylon rope about 1.5cm thick, one of us at each end of the pond with rope in hand, drop the rope in and keeping it a bit tight start walking to the other end of the pond, then drag as much out into pile on the bank with those Thai shovel things and put it into piles to rot, if I have some old sacking I shall cover the piles with that and use stones to keep the sacking on, probably would have been better to do this in the rainy season but I need loads of compost anyway so this can be a monthly thing I suppose, if it works.
So what are you doing Christmas day?
