The colour of money seems to sway many a man's morals.

An honest-broker service which was both good for the Thai consumer & western potential TEFLer would be a very fair service - to both sides. I know some attempts were made at trying to get teachers to form some kind of collective voice, but this never materialised.

At the moment the imminent result is going to be a brutal backlash from the new clean-broom Thai powers-that-be against much of the under-the-table policies followed by previous TEFL service-providers. They must be getting sick & tired of the level of so-called teaching professionals working in the industry. It smacks of scam upon scam all the way & it will blow up pretty soon, no matter how much TEFLers try to brush it under the carpet.
