About 5 degree and clear skies. So I put on my walking boots, and little Ast and I went for stomp on the hills. We came home absolutely filthy, as winter is well and truly on the way. We had a great time together, looking at the winter wildlife. I wish I had a gun with me, as there were plenty of pheasant about.

If im on my own, air. If im with mates, then its shot (I can borrow one of theirs). It would be very difficult for me to obtain a licence, due to a little indiscretion in my youth. Lots of game birds round my way (and not just the feathered variety).

Aye lad, you can't beat a game bird

I've not been shooting for years, I used to carry a gun around in with me when I was driving lorrys years ago, oportunistic pheasant shooting around the back of Hampshire.
Probably get nailed to the wall by the old bill these days if I did that again.
    It wasn't me!

I must admit, Issan at this time of year is very pleasant. Great for getting out and about, and its all still green. Not too hot in the day, and very comfortable at night. I was there in September, and it was quite tolerable then, but January or Febuary are my favourite times.

    Whether the weather is fine,
or whether the weather is hot,
    we'll weather the weather,
    whatever the weather,
whether we like it or not.
