Thread: Overspending

I don't often have to go into my other account.
i am usually able to live fairly happily on my salary.

this month however i am down to the bare bones and it's about 10 days to pay day.
i am going to have to hit the bank this morning to conduct a transfer.

too many bad things have happened this month.
how often do you overspend?

I haven't touched any money from home in the nearly four years that I have been here, but........................................I often spend most of my wage.

I bought a washing machine last week for 10,000. I could have got a cheaper one but I was swayed by all the buttons and flashing lights.

I can usually live comfortably from my salary but the price of diesil doesn't help much.

My salary is not really the problem.

i have to syphon money out of our joint account to put into my 'entertainments' fund.

i really regret getting a joint account but as i was sailing before and away for months at a time it made sense as my wife had to pay all the bills etc.

but now its a real pain that my wife sees exactly what goes in my account every month - and every withdrawal i make. And she watches it like a hawk.

ofcourse that is possible. the hard part is explaining to my wife why, after 12 years of putting the money in our joint account, i suddenly want to change.

i cant think of any other reason apart from that i want to spend the money on hookers without her knowing....

Say it is for life insurance premiums.

Insurance which is to safeguard her future in case anything happens to you.

^ she will want to see the policy and how much she gets if sbf snuffs it.

There were times when I lived alone that I overspent all the time! I'd often put alcohol before food commitments and not eat for a day or so, so I could pay for a good night out!
