She's out of a job:-
Bank worker Debrahlee Lorenzana sacked for looking 'too good'
Former bank worker Debrahlee Lorenzana is claiming she was fired from Citibank for dressing too sexily.
The single mother has told an employment tribunal she was ordered her not to wear pencil skirts or fitted suits because it distracted other workers. The 33-year-old said she wore purely professional clothes but still ‘the way they looked at what I wore was very disappointing’.
Her claim in the Manhattan Supreme Court states: ‘In blatantly discriminatory fashion, plaintiff was advised that as a result of the shape of her figure, such clothes were purportedly ‘‘too distracting’’ for her male colleagues and supervisors to bear.’
Ms Lorenzana, from New York, joined Citibank as a business banking officer in September 2008 and told a US newspaper: ‘I can’t help it that I have curves. And I’m not going to go eat and gain 50 or 100 pounds because my job wants me to be the same size as everyone else.’ Citibank said: ‘We believe this lawsuit is without merit.’

Personally, I think every US citizen should petition the government and make Citi pay back their bailout funds right now.![]()
