    Being homesick...

Homesick is a bitch. Never had it before in all of my travels with Uncle Sam and my own adventures. However, I got it bad now. I miss my country music; drinking beers with my brothers, eating home cooked BBQ and smelling country air.

What is ironic is that with my country home upcountry it only brings back past memories.

The reality is that I can not go back and start over again. Well, I guess I could; but I am running out of years to start over again.

I am not crying in my beer, but just merely expressing emotions.

Damn, I hate talking so much…

On the train down to Bournemouh from Heathrow last week I got a whiff of the smell of cow dung on fields for the first time in a long time

smell is one of the most important senses in the act of recall

77% of males reported that certain smells generated memories

however, only 56% of females said the same

Hillbilly you'd be a weirdo if you didn't suffer those feelings at least once in a while.

    There are only three options;
    head in sand,
    cope with it,
    or do something about it.

Hillbilly, why not try have a little bit of home at your home now. Of the things that you just mentioned you could do all of them except for having the beer with your old friends.

dunno, just an idea - worth a shot.

I suppose it depends on where your home is - when it's Crewe it tends not to worry you

This song just came on and it these lyrics eerily fitted the moment...

Maybe Ive forgotten the name and the address
    Of everyone Ive ever known
    Its nothing I regret
    Save it for another day
Its the school exam and the kids have run away

actually shogun many BBQ joints here in Kansas city will deliver anywhere in the world. they pack it up in dry ice and fed ex it to ya. even just ship ya the sauce if ya want

my father moved from KC to Charlotte NC , hated the BBQ in NC so he would call down here to wyandott BBQ and they would send it to him.

was in that BBQ place 1 day talking to the owner about dad's BBQ HABIT and he told me that it was not uncommon and that they had even sent BBQ to japan before.

NEED A FEW PHONE NUMBERS HILLBILLY ????

I don't remember much about home though.
