^No, Nationalistic? You?? Who'd have ever thought. Won't bother to 'flame away' though. Can't be arsed with nationalistic, sorry for the word but it's unfortunately appropriate in conjuction with nationalistic - idiots.
Don't be surprised and rant about it if you keep being prodded by Brits and Ozzies though. You're a walking invite.
You did you Pedantic asshole, collaborators are civilians of a captured country who are in with the bad guys,, you know, like turn coats.Who said anything about collaborators you daft fuck?

Amazing how Thai-like so many of them are. Amongst many other similar traits, you always seem to have to pat 'em on the head and say 'Good boy' else they take offense.
So that means that I do remember what happened as I was a young fellow then and I do not have to read some history book written by some stupid cocksucker such as you after getting your info from some older and smarter man than you,, maybe from someone like me.Originally Posted by DrAndy

My grandfather is buried in Yeppes 1915 and my father was lucky to get of the beech at Arromanche in ww2 because of the Germans , so you disrespectful bastards can fuck off.
^Stop taking credit for the efforts of your forefathers, and if you insist on doing it, also examine their fuckups. Then maybe you'll be given the respect you crave so much.

this thread is hilarious,
the truth is that the majority of Americans would surrender if they were to face a bigger enemy than them. All the Texpats, BGs, Jet etc... would become docile cooperators so they don't lose their american "privileges"
sad isn't it ?
You are a panty-waisted knob gobbler arn't you?
Tens of thousands of french civilians were killed by allied (american) air bombings both before and during the liberation of France. More were killed in the capure of numerous cities and villages by allied artillery. The majority of thse killed were women, children and the elderly.
Stop surfing gay biker boy porn, and go and read something about the second world war - it may make you sound less of an unmitigated prat when you try to sound off about it. I doubt it personally, but it might.
How to argue against such Wisdom... Cannot be done.
We Love America. She is the Greatest Nation Ever To Fuckup This Planet. Americans are wise, witty and Wonderful.
Pat, Pat.
Sorry, my barbaric genes cannot resist. We seem to keep talking about sort of long ago.... Americans Are HasBeens.![]()
Would that satisfy?

I do. It's called education . . . and not living in the past, expecting the world to be grateful for events in the past.Originally Posted by Camel Toe

Are you still grateful to France and Germany for helping you liberate yourselves from the mantle of British oppression?
Seriously. Are you? Or are you of the opinion that the world needs only be grateful to the USA?
An answer would be greatly appreciated.
Oh, Camel Toe, here are some titbits you may find of interest:
From the outbreak of armed rebellion in 1775, many in France sympathized with the colonists. Young, idealistic French officers like the Marquis de Lafayette volunteered their services and in many cases their personal wealth to help equip, train and lead the fledgling Continental (US Colonial) army.France assisted in supplying arms, uniforms and other military supplies to the American colonists. This clandestine assistance became open after the defeat of General Burgoyne at Saratoga in 1777, which demonstrated the possibility of British defeat in the conflict and led to French recognition of the colonies in February 1778. As a result of the victory of the Continental forces at Saratoga, Benjamin Franklin, who had gone to Paris as ambassador in 1776, was able to negotiate a Treaty of Amity and Commerce and a Treaty of Alliance with France. From this point, French support became increasingly significant. The French extended considerable financial support to the Congressional forces. France also supplied vital military arms and supplies, and loaned money to pay for their purchase.French military aid was also a decisive factor in the American victory. French land and sea forces fought on the side of the American colonists against the British.
Oh, I could go on, but it would be akin pearls before swine.
Darn, why not add one more:
Why not one more:From the perspective of the American Revolution, however, the high point of French support is the landing of five battalions of French infantry and artillery in Rhode Island in 1780. In 1781, these French troops under the command of Count Rochambeau marched south to Virginia where they joined Continental forces under Washington and Lafayette. Cornwallis, encamped on the Yorktown peninsula, hoped to be rescued by the British navy. A French fleet under the command of Admiral DeGrasse intercepted and, after a fierce battle lasting several days, defeated the British fleet and forced it to withdraw. This left the French navy to land heavy siege cannon and other supplies and trapped Cornwallis on the Yorktown peninsula.
I will start pasting paragraphs of the German contribution next for your education.George Woodbridge summed up the Yorktown campaign in the following words: "The strategy of the campaign was Rochambeau’s; the French fleet was there as a result of his arrangements; the tactics of the battle were his; the American army was present because he had lent money to Washington; in total naval and military participants the French outnumbered the Americans between three and four to one. Yorktown was Rochambeau’s victory.
It seems that you are an ungrateful lot and should be kissing every Frenchman's and German's feet whenever you meet them, as without France and Germany, there may not be a United States of America.
Ungrateful pricks.![]()
Ah, links . . . just a sampling as you obviously can't find any in the history books you read when you were at school:
German allied troops in the North American war of independence, 1776-1783
The French Contribution to the American War of Independence
Many, many more if you're interested . . . though I doubt you and your ilk are, too busy wrapping yourself in the starts and stripes and demanding homage from all you and sundry
Funny thing is, generally i like Americans. But, especially since 9/11, they've done an outstanding job of getting rid of friends and respect.
I found it exceptionally hilarious when Joe Biden (may have a spelling prob there, can't be arsed, he's not important enough) after a long, sickeningly-sweet buttering-up of Israelis in his speech in an Israeli uni the other day, said that who but a friend can deliver the message that cuts to the core. For the past few years, since 9/11, friends have been trying to deliver just such a message to their American friends, with zero success. The response? You hate America.
Respect? You've lost most of it because of this, and it won't be regained until you can step out of your nationalistic bubble that seems to be filled with MJ smoke, and rejoin the world. We, well I, don't enjoy seeing friends crashing and burning, but as the saying goes, you can try and lead a horse to water..
Aussies should be kissing French and German feet as well. No US, no reason to send "colonists" to Australia.Originally Posted by panama hat
