I haven't stepped foot in an immigration office in years- my accountant handles visas/work permits/extensions/whatever- I pay a premium, of course, but it's more than worth it.

Forgive me if I don't mention which office I use.

Don't worry about my blood pressure...last time they checked it it was someting like 220 over 180, so I am in perfect health, except one day my brain will explode! I printed off Peterpan's check list the other day for reference, but when I refered back to it a migraine came and I thought "fuk it". Especially as, if I complied and rocked up to the Immigration office, Kap Cheung or Korat, not sure which from Buriram, and didn't smile and wai in the obsequious manner expected, I'd be sent away for something incidental, so 'fuk 'em!

Don't get that missis. Part of the flak is showing 400k in the bank for the preceding 3 months before applying, a cheap airfrare amounts to 25, perhaps 30k.

Basically, I don't have it to spend, (and for the marriage visa it is only 2 months not 3) I need the 400K in the bank here, I don't have any spare...it is a year by year thing...where sadly the pound seems to be fucking me up big time! and look at the pound!!! When I firsty stepped foot here, you could get 91 to the pound, 80 was a reasonable day...65 was normal...50 was a hard time...then 48!!!!

They aren't going to sell many Toyotas at that exchange rate

It isn't brain surgery you know Miggins.
Its just putting together a few quite simple documents, took me a couple of hours (and I'm an old crunt well down the slippery slope of dementia) including printing off the photos.

There seems to be no hard and fast rules.. they seem to make them up as they go along, all I meant was that what they tell you this year will not apply next year.. you cannot post the DEFINITIVE rules...they are all subjectto each offices interpretation!
