My heart is in Havanna...nananana
Ok, I was a little bit off.
Christmas morning breakfast view Doi Lang.
Went back to the waterfalls with friends- beers, snacks and just relaxing. Great way to spend some of the long weekend.
^^beautiful pics, birding and Mandaloopy.
A pic of my bird (the other bird silly) eating stickyrice.
Soi dog stranded in central reservation on Phetkasem rd last week. Must have made it across as there was no corpse lying there on the way back
I cycle along a deserted road
it's blazing hot, and the empty road disappears far into the distance, undulating up and down the small hills
Occasionally I see an emaciated cow, I also see plenty of eagles swooping overhead
I wipe my brow, take a drink from my diminishing water supply
There's not a soul to be seen, no sound of cars, no sound of industry from afar, no planes, even no sounds of birds.
God! Where is this hellish place?
The Gobi desert?
Some isolated region of barren Issan?
Nope! I cycling to eat some lunch and I'm in the centre of Myanmar's capital city - Naypyidaw
Groping women when you're old is fine - everyone thinks you're senile
Converting a master bedroom into two smaller bed rooms for my minions
Don't slip on any pies, buckety!
Very nice, cheers.
Looks like Monty Python weren't joking.

Foundations: Building continues by Sukhumvit 14. Behind the blue curtain middle right is Suda Restaurant, decent Thai food at touristy prices. The old lady who ran it must be in her late 70s by now. Haven't been for over a decade.
Last few rows of old fashioned shophouses along here? Suda is on the corner of the row on left.
It's alright, decent portions, just overpriced. Makes tourists think they are eating 'on the street' as it's all open with tables outside.

Non golf fans, please scroll up/down. I wasn't going to post these pics here as I didn't know where to put them and it's not really a sports orientated forum, but thought maybe someone might find them interesting before I delete them after posting them elsewhere on a forum that is about sports.
Went out to watch the opening round of the Honda LPGA event at Siam Country Club (Old Course) today, and always go to this each year for 1 day if at home. Really enjoyed it, the top 7 players in the world are here along with something like 30 of the top 50 so it's a high quality field as usual. Being a keen golfer myself, watching pros in action with their finesse, distance control, ability to get into diabolical trouble off the tee and still save par, and their putting on severely undulating greens running at least 12 on the Stimp, it all puts into perspective just how shit we amateurs really are .
Michelle Wei on the practice putting green. She's one of my favourite LPGA players and not just because she's a 6ft tall Asian babe!.
Lexi Thompson (a young hall of famer in the making, shot -6 today), Ariya Jutunagarn (Thailand's best female player by far, the first and only Thai girl to win on the LPGA tour with 7 wins including a Major to her credit over her short career) and Sung Hyan Park (world #2 who'll probably be world#1 again by this Sunday afternoon). Quite the 3 ball, Lexi and Ariya both started with eagle-birdie on the first 2 holes and the Korean girl was slacking off with birdie-birdie. As mentioned, touring pros are on a whole different level to the rest of us.
Golf's great for being able to get so close to the action. Park missed the fairway but still stiffed her approach over a tree and got it to spin back to the hole but she had to settle for par. And yeah she look highly "Thom-ish". The standard joke is the L in LPGA stands for Lesbian and even though it's all kept quiet, we can probably assume she's not into guys .
A nice little par 3, 152 yards. That range for players of this quality is like throwing darts, can't believe none of them aced it today.
Another quality 3 ball. Pornanong Phatlum, Lydia Ko and In Gee Chun.
And finally, with Honda being the major sponsor of course they had their entire range on display (sans pretties for some reason) but lets get serious, their cars are good but they're not exciting in any way. Their bikes are a different story though, I hadn't seen this 1000cc model and just love the retro look!. Bet it goes like stink too!. Anyway, with an admission price of just tree-fiddy and seeing some pretty girls rip a golf course apart that I've cried on before as it ripped me apart, it was a good day out.
Damn good, cheers for that. Would have went along for the day if I was in the area and knew about it.
Yum.
Was trying to find that pic of her as a 16 or 17 yr old chipping onto a green surrounded by a big group of men all studying her seriously, but must be gone from the interwebby.
^^ Great stuff HW
I'm not much into watching woman's sports however ... I do like woman's gold.
As a generalisation, they have such a natural, controlled swing.
Consistency in a swing action, something I'd like to emulate.
... and yes, all that walking does wonders for the figure.
Oh look at the time, it's wank o'clock.
That's simply superb on a 50in TV from 2 feet away btw. Cheers.
