The cutest stray pup who sits at my school entrance every morning to greet all of us. Today I spent twenty minutes just petting the dear thing.

Well I was wearing my platform shoes (Slade stylee ) and no-one looked twice...

I went to pat the cat in the middle (the meek friendly looking one) and the little fucker lashed me - the others sniggered.

Cats can be quite selective sometimes, you'd think the strays would be grateful for the attention without slashing every human hand that offers affection.

Rented a bike, it was brand new with only 11km on the clock

But this is a con. I had two bits of dead skin they ignored. Feels just ticklish.

Luckily l can't post a before/after pic of my feet

You should have a read up on those feet eating fish spas, you won't go for one again.

^ Went past that Venezia place near Hua Hin earlier, apparently a theme park style mock up of Venice. Decided against going in after reading the reviews. And they've spoiled it by charging 180 baht for farangs and free for Thais. Tourist numbers are down and the place is neglected, tired looking, half the rides are closed, and food is well overpriced. The management probably haven't got the brains to work out how to attract more punters.

    Oh well. Their loss.

I walk to the PH Venice from where I live. There is no entrance fee. It's just a mall with a gimmick to attract more customers.

^It looks very nice though, TizMe! I have a few friends teaching there in the PP.

The street I was on last night was decorated for Chinese New Year.

Couple of wall paintings near some market outside Hua Hin. Banksy eat your heart out, you wanker.

Here are two of those mangoes waiting to be dipped in sugar and chilli. Not by me, obviously.

The real Venice is a bit of a gimmick as well. Gondola rides cost an arm and a leg, and Piazza San Marco floods every day.

...unfortunately inaccurate...the relatively new anti-flood barriers in the lagoon keep the piazza (reasonably) dry for much of the year...and while it's true that Venice has essentially become a tourist trap, at least it's an authentic historical site...

    Is the project complete?
Google says it should be operational some time this year.
San Marco is one of the lowest points in the city.

St Marks square does flood but not that often and certainly not every day. They had the boards up ready in October but no problems during my visit over Halloween.
