Rich folks are now allowed to drive straight into Big C

This will make a good ''before'' pic in a couple of years when the 26m BTS viaduct at Lat Phrao is finished and the apartments behind are finished. Watch this space

^^
That is a good photo at big C,crates and crates of falsies.
That's Thong Lor in the distance, you on the Airport Line?
(wild guess)
Birds eye view of the future BTS flyover at Lat Phrao intersection looking towards Central (left) & Union Mall (right) The 3 legs of the elephant building are just visible in the distance. Lower left is Chatuchak Park. The station in the distance is named after the same intersection.
(this pic appeared in the BTS/MRT construction thread several months back, but that thread is now defunct as all the pics fell victim to the Photobucket rip-off)
A hotel?
Day in, day out, week in, week out for months in the same spot, he sits outside the MRT station Phahon Yothin by the Union Mall exit.
I promised I'd make him famous...

This is a bit ambitious. It's only about 400m after Chong Nonsi and another 400 to Surasak

Huge moon last night over Mandalay Palace- times like this is when I wish I had a better camera.
Out with the old, in with the new.
By the time the line opens, these ancient buses should be done away with. Doubt it.
Within the next year that row of tatty shops will be cleared in front of Union Mall and a new paved space created (apparently)
Another unfortunate casualty of this clearance will be Pathe restaurant/bar (left, with yellow seating) which is fast reaching it's expiry date lately. Old toilets, dirty outdoor seating and fast deterioration of food quality (in the last 2 months, chef obviously gone) is adding to its downfall.

Last week
Today, the hole is ready to be dug out, then rebar framework sunk and concreted 5m down.
Now they will start digging out another hole for another pier (That's now 22 from Mo Chit)
