Ahhh. That probably explains why when I saw one swoop down over the soi one night and told the neighbours the next day, they didn't want to believe me.

    Armed forces day in Scarborough
Can you see and guess who is coming

nice to see the young cadets and veterans

walking in town centre , nice and quiet, then a really low WHOOOSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSH in the sky
    Fucking frightened me
looked up and its the legendary Red Arrows
so walked to the sea to watch them
brilliant, the way they split up and rejoin from all directions

Love the Red Arrows, makes the hairs on my neck stick up.

Watched them at Blackpool and Southport last year.

Shame they have to display so far out at sea now due to health and safety.

Can remember when they used to fly right over our heads in years gone by.

The last air-worthy Vulcan was retired 3 or 4 years ago. Sad.

It was privately owned and maintained. Did not belong to the RAF.

^ Last flight was Oct 2015.

Had to keep the flight hush hush because they were scared about the crowds.

Fairplay to the pilot. He even performed a banned barrel roll.

Was fortunate to see the Vulcan a couple of times.
You hear it before you see it, awesome plane that must have scared the shite out of the Argies.
Flew about 100metre over our heads on Southport beach with the bomb doors open. 20,000 people stopped and stared in awe.

^^That warning has been around for years on some players like Folder Player.

It is cobblers coz it depends entirely on the headphones how much noise is coming through so it is just some wanky worthless warning to cover somebody's health and safety arse and serves no practical purpose.

^Lucky fella CCC! Coolest plane ever. Amazing that its first flight was only 12 years after the Avro Lancaster's firslt flight

Nah and never had. I cycle 20km 4 times week. BP 115/75. Age 64.5 and can still get it up. I'm fitter than a butchers dog. Do you see a problem in my picture?

Now you've got me worried LD. Just spent 3 hours trawling the net and I think it's 'Lyme Disease'. How long have I got?

The son's already asked for the watch.

My hands problem, well it's not a problem really, is due to long term use of using Pneumatic Vibration Tools. I was hoping I could get it diagnosed as White Finger when I finished work but no. I got Industrial Injuries Benefit instead which was unexpected.

By the way the moth is a
Tropical Swallow Tail moth (Lyssa zampa),

^ Astounding...amazing creatures. Particularly viewed by candlelight. It has been a long time since I saw a moth like that.

Commiserations about the vibrational tools. I once used a jackhammer for about an hour and later, my finger joints swelled right up......and I was a healthy (and bulletproof ) 18 yrs old at the time !

Work dinner was pretty decent- good food and nice to talk to people I don't see a lot during the week. The view was worth a few snaps

SiL farms them. Does very well, too. They are expensive in the restaurants she sells to.
